Yet another opportunity for Cal to win some people back

My issues with Cal started when he stopped hiding the fact that winning for Kentucky wasn't his top priority. The dislike started when he started taking shots at BBN for being upset with losing and acting like it wasn't a big deal. Cal has shown how incredibly thin his skin is, and now that he can't find ways to win meaningful games (and his colleagues basically stating publicly that they don't even need to game plan for a Cal team) he's gotten defensive. It's not a good look. And now seemingly constant player playing drama. I'm still a fan, as always, but I want Cal gone. I want Kentucky basketball back. I miss the fun.

Very small minority against Cal. And most are members of the CHC that post here. The rest of the world is not like that.

But he is not winning any of them back. We could win by 50 tonight and the CHC would still ready to tar and feather Cal.
We're not winning by 50 tonight.

One win doesn't get me back. He needs to change his goals for the program and how he runs it.
I can agree with you but I will say that I am willing to start with baby steps and hoping that Cal can begin to acknowledge that it's about the Program and BBN too. He needs to get this program back on track and stop trying to save the damn world on our dime.

I have just gotten to the point where I'm highly suspicious of anything cal does. I still think he might be holding Bradshaw out as a ready-made excuse for a loss. And I have no confidence he will implement a game plan for tonight. I know Self will. I just don't think he cares if we win or lose anymore. I mean I'm sure he likes to win, but only in so much as it aggrandizes his ego and helps his players get to the next level. The program isn't his motivation imo. I won't be holding my breath waiting for Calipari to start winning like 2015 and before or making needed changes, as I believe there is no one in the administration holding him to any expectations other than cashing his checks. I'm sure this post will trigger the usual Cal honor guard. Just speaking how I feel, jaded or not.
Well, if you're jaded I suppose I'm right there with you. I do think Cal has a chance this year to repair some of the damage he's inflicted in recent years, but if he reverts, starts losing games he should win, and starts preaching b/c he's butt hurt for BBN not loving him like he thinks he deserves ... he will catch hell for it. JMO.

1-9 vs ranked last 10??? That’s actually true? Dang, no wonder I have zero faith during big games. Oh well, maybe I’ll be surprised.
