Yellowstone

Trying to catch up on the last few episodes but it's practically unwatchable. Why on earth did the show go in such an insufferable direction?
The hippy woman about killed it for me. And the continued effort to make Beth the meanest and most miserable person alive gets so old. I actually like him becoming governor. I think that part should be played up more.

Agree. Crazy beth and whiney Monica was already way more than enough. Adding in the over the top hippy chick was just God awful.

All the terrific content that is rips back story is getting spent on trying to convince people beth has always been this crazy. As if we 1) cared and 2) needed any convincing

Agree. Plenty of plot lines there, plus the killing of the wolves. Instead we're watching two useless characters fight in the yard over nothing. Neither of them add any value to the show.

They are closing Yellowstone and gonna direct us to 1923 and 6666. That's what all that going away stuff was the other night. My best guess is they give us Yellowstone in June again this Summer. So we get 1 more episode in 2weeks then 7 more episodes this summer. So 1923 is the new Yellowstone.

I could have done with another season or 2 of 1883 showing them establishing their ranch instead of skipping ahead 40 years.

Woke? Nah, just lazy. It started going off the cliff last year with too much focus on Jimmy and his women, as if anyone cared. This show would have been helped immensely if Jamie had turned Beth into roadkill with his SUV in the opener.
No it's gone woke and it's lazy.
But I agree, missed a good shock moment if Jamie had turned Beth into roadkill. Everybody would still be talking about this show.

Oh it's woke. Vegan hippie. Lesbian make out. They have derailed this show.

Man some of you all get really worked up over the gays. Good thing none of you likely live in a place with a higher population of them. Those people have the audacity to hold hands in public and don’t even hide they have sex with their own sex anymore.

Once I saw two gay guys kiss in real life and couldnt sleep for a week.

You’re pathetic but you’ll keep watching just because you need something to cry about.

Don't care what you think or do. Not ever a worry for me what a keyboard warrior like you thinks of me. Bout as relevant to me as stray animals I see. I actually care for them some though.

Amen

Bottom line it's just gotten too far fetched. Jamie has killed a couple of people and covered up two more (at least), but he's obsessed with becoming governor? I don't buy it. Don't buy Beth talking to people the way she does and not getting train stationed by somebody, like the man in prison. Don't buy that corporation going to all that trouble taking Duttons land when there's land all over the place they could develop just as easily. And most of all, I don't buy Dutton being so stubborn about selling the land when there's no one he can hand it off to.

Anyone watch the 1923 the other night. Seemed decent enough to wanna watch. Maybe it takes a few episodes to get to must see status, cause Yellowstone has been dvr material lately especially when other stuff is on.

Yep. Beth needs to be drug behind a horse until the horse gets tired.

Haven't watched it yet. Pretty strong cast at least. If Sheridan is running the show, he usually delivers.

Watched 1923 the other night and enjoyed. Like others have mentioned I wished they had extended 1883 longer. It seems the development of the ranch into what it is now in 1923 would be interesting to see. . Perhaps 1923 will have some flashbacks to fill in the 40 years gap.

Ranchers daughter in 1923 is the same female that played the daughter in 1883 where her boyfriend was killed. Looks like her boyfriend in 1923 is about to maybe suffer the same fate.

Good God people cmon

Jmo but I thought 1883 was better at least so far. I love Harrison Ford but it surprises me to see he is seemingly struggling vs the surprisingly great performance of tim McGraw. Ford just has a weird pacing to his dialogue that's similar to Stallone in Tulsa king. I'm not sure what's going on unless it's because they're struggling to remember their lines.

Also jmo but I think Josh Lucas is a better John Dutton than Costner.
