"Would you like to buy a piece of Alex Jones?"

I'm surprised no one has said "if it can happen to him, it can happen to you!" yet. That's a classic line that's been used in the recent past to stoke fear and try to get folks to stick up for national bullshitters. It's not hard being the opposite of someone like Alex Jones and I'm pretty confident that most Americans are disgusted by him.
Yeah we know you're surprised. This was a drive by thread built jist for you to drop in and say look how smart I am.

Whats not surprising tho, is what you assumed other people would think and how off your perception of ppl is.

No one cares about Alex Jones.

“Don’t let your mouth write checks your ass can’t cash”

I have a very hard time with this feeling of Jones being a victim.

Imagine being small enough to signal out Alex Jones when Biden/Harris are allowing millions of illegal aliens into the US, even flying some in. Many are murderers and have already Murdered American women and kids.

It's called being a small, small person and trying to direct attention away from your own party's scummery.

Cool. No one cares but you keep posting in the thread, even randomly throwing a weird, passive aggressive response my way. Gotcha. You really showed me. I guess...

If you want to "fight" with someone online, I'm not your guy. Internet fight with the poster right below you whose only contribution to the thread is to troll with "libs are scummy scum evil scum." I know that works in the political thread. Have a good one.

Imagine signaling out Alex Jones when your side has no problem with pedophiles in women's locker rooms.

Feels GREAT to be a sane human with morals......not a lost, bumbling Liberal.

a man is smoking a cigar in a field

I remember when you tried to act like a know it all cool guy when I said that Disney was having huge problems with controlling cost in all their divisions in a thread talking about espn and the carriage fees.... You thought it was nuts to not see Disney was the biggest media corp in the world and owned some of the best IP in the world.... then 6 months later the stock price hit a 20 year low and I never tried to call you out for your ignorance but it did show me how ignorant you are on topics that you pretend to be informed about.

The reason people are calling you out so much lately is because everyone is noticing it. I'll bet you're the guy that walks up to a group of dudes who are talking and laffing, and after just a couple minutes it's just you and one other guy who is frowning trying to figure out how to disengage without being rude.

Founded in 1999 on the heels of the Satanic “panic” and growing steadily ever since, InfoWars has distinguished itself as an invaluable tool for brainwashing and controlling the masses. With a shrewd mix of delusional paranoia and dubious anti-aging nutrition hacks, they strive to make life both scarier and longer for everyone, a commendable goal. They are a true unicorn, capable of simultaneously inspiring public support for billionaires and stoking outrage at an inept federal state that can assassinate JFK but can’t even put a man on the Moon.

Judge put a halt to this. The Onion didn't actually have the money. The lawyers were in fact not caring about their clients interest and just wanted to mock Jones. The judge is looking back into it to make sure the sale is to the highest bidder so that the parents, who everyone says they want to see get paid, actually gets some money. They passed up a deal to get between $1million and $10 million per year for the foreseeable future just to mock the name "InfoWars".

Maybe some of you will wake as to what this case was actually about.

The Onion buying InfoWars should be awesome... except The Onion apparently decided their key demographic is postmenopausal cat ladies a few years ago and they haven't made a successful joke since.

Except the Onion didn't have the money. The lawyers were going to screw over the parents in order to stick it to Jones. If you are pissed at Jones for his comments then you should be pissed at the lawyers ignoring their fiduciary responsibility for pure politics.

Your description of what’s happening is not even remotely accurate.

No, the issue is the magnitude of what he did, not his political affiliation.

The people he defamed were victims of something awful. Jones chose to intentionally and repeatedly lie about those victims because he knew he could make lots of money telling these lies.

When the victims repeatedly asked Jones to stop, he ignored them. When some of them were subjected to threats of violence because of his lies, he kept on lying because it was good for his business.

When Jones was sued by the people he was defaming, he then obstinately and repeatedly ignored court orders requiring him to cooperate with discovery.

When someone chooses to do awful and illegal things to make themselves rich, and arrogantly ignore court orders along the way, they open themselves up to heavy punishment.

Jones’ behavior was so far beyond the pale that a devastating financial penalty was worth considering. It was Jones’ actions that brought this upon himself, not any political affiliation.
You need to educate yourself. There were people awarded damages that had no children in that school

Thanks for letting us know that we should be outraged over what happened to Alex Jones. I'll really take that to heart tonight and be very outraged over the system being very unfair to Jones. Yes, I'll definitely hitch my wagon to that idea and die on that hill, ya know, for Alex Jones.

Pretty much.

Just pointing out it wasn't about getting the parents paid for liable. It was always about shutting him down. It's not going to work and will actually have the opposite effect. But I guess you guys can cheer that some lawyers screwed over the parents just to stick it to Info Wars. AlexJones.com is already up and running supposedly. It's amazing how badly some people want censorship.

But I'm still hearing The Onion might be in trouble for trying to get this deal done with no money.

Was the trial fast paste?

So do you think the judge stopped this sale for another reason?
The judge hasn’t stopped the transaction. The judge was unhappy with how the process was handled, in particular, he was not happy with some of the lack of transparency.

Therefore, the judge has paused things to hold a hearing on how the process was handled by the trustee and to understand the bids that were submitted.

At that point, if the judge is satisfied, he’ll approve the Onion’s bid. If he’s not satisfied, he won’t.

Your characterization of things is not accurate.

OK. It's way different than I said.
