If the top tier of Donovan, Oats, Hurley & Wright say no I would be more than ok with these two choices. They've had some run ins with the NCAA but both can flat out coach and recruit.

Pass on both, though Wade is more attractive than Miller. But I would take Todd Golden over either one.
I honestly do not believe that either would get a sniff due to their previous NCAA violations…
Will Wade would kill it here but zero chance. I think the SEC has basically forbidden any school from talking to him.

If you get turned down by first tier I’d honestly look at Bruce Pearl. I know lots don’t like him, but IMO he could recruit to UK and put together top caliber teams.
Wade, not a chance in hell. he has a show cause. Would not want him anyway. We can do a LOT better. He is perfect for the mid level power 5 school / top mid major. He couldn't handle the pressure cooker that is UK. if he wilted and did what he did at LSU, UK would break him down like a shotgun.
Miller- No. He hasn't exactly done anything of substance at Xavier. Hard pass, there are several guys above both of these guys in the pecking order. This is UK, not Xavier, LSU or schools of the same ilk.

NO. Travis is my dude, but he really under performed at St. louis, he had some really talented teams and didn't do nothing with them.
Pelphrey - Hell no, he has failed everywhere he has been. Maybe as a assistant, but not even the top assistant.
We HAVE to get this hire right, if not, it will set UK back a minimum of 5 years. UK is THE or one of the top 3 jobs in college basketball, if we have to hire a Pelphrey or Ford, that would be really telling.
Also NO and NO! We're trying to upgrade the program here guys and don't forget, this is Kentucky! I know Cal has beaten you all down over the years. But this program is bigger than Cal. Think big with the next coach!
Nah, those two are way above the UK job! Kenny Payne or Tom Crean is the ceiling, when you can only offer $10 million per year!

Will Wade is being blocked by Greg Sankey at the time-at least that was word from Arkansas.
Those who may not know the connections between Sean Miller and his family and John Calipari. He recruited him to Pitt, has known the family for years and you would basically be getting "Little Cal" only without the success Cal had at UMass/Memphis. Miller was sloppy with the recruiting aspect and then let his Assistant eat the punishment.....and he can't coach offense. it's putrid to watch his teams play. No thanks on getting "Little Cal" to replace Cal.
Miller done great his previous time at Xavier. He didn't do as well as expected at Arizona

But Miller never won anything of substance when he was at Arizona with great players. Add to that his NCAA stuff and he is in NO WAY what this program needs

We need a program changer and that is either Donavan, Jay Wright, Hurley or Oats. But Mitch is big on Scott Drew who is WAAAYYYY better than the either of Miller or Wade.
Meanwhile in Kansas Bill Self got a raise for doing the same thing Wade did.
