Honestly it is a good question? I wouldn’t know where to start
A lot of people wouldn’t want me UK job
Be careful what you wish for
Get Me Outta here Percy!

First this is just a question in no way am I on a side with what UK does with the coach staff. Marrow isn't very highly thought of by UK fans here, mainly I think because of his Ohio connection. If for whatever reason Stoops leaves, would Marrow be given an opportunity?

Not a chance. Marrow is known mostly as a recruiter and the "good guy" players' coach. Not as a particularly great on field coach or HC candidate.

Don't see it Grump. Marrow, slightly older coach, doesn't even have coordinator experience, seems like a career asst to me. First choice I assume would be Jon Sumrall at Troy, ex-UK player and asst. Actually a moot point, Stoops is here for the duration of his contract.

Was just curious, know he is very well thought of by UK fanbase. But seems to fall into the same catagory as Sam Pittman. Career assistant, older coach, no coordinator experience, elite recruiter. Had a good year or two at Arkansas, but appears to have run it's coarse and they are looking to get a new one.

Dion Sanders would obviously be the first choice. The second choice would be the Minnesota head coach. There are up and coming guys that could do better and recruit well at an SEC level. Stoops hasn't done that here.
Not sure Fleck survives Minnesota much longer. Has already lost 3 this year, including a recent loss to lowly Northwestern, with Iowa, Ohio St, Wisc, Ohio St still ahead.

No. His attention to detail is terrible. Should’ve seen him call plays.

He can barely type a legible tweet and you’d want him running the whole show from admin work down?

Never heard that about Big Dog and UK fans, both no I don't think he would simply because he's never even been a coordinator.

That answer is why you should stay in your own lane!

Like Sumrall, but like Stoops, we don't know his actual philosophy on offense. Stoops BSD his way thru for a few years till we knew his true colors.

Lol, Deion Sanders is not coming to Kentucky and you all are insane to even be discussing this. Mark Stoops is the best coach UKs ever had. It's been a tough couple weeks. Mark Stoops is not the problem with UK football. However, I do trust him to fix it. Even if it doesn't get fixed this year.

Because of his offensive philosophy, he's a major part of the problem whether you want to admit it ot not.

This is a stupid thread. We are nowhere near that point in the process. There just needs to be some accountability added to this program. These dipshits who are too undisciplined to play, and everybody here knows who I’m talking about, need to be told to clean it up or hit the portal. You can’t run a program if you can’t demand accountability. Same for the coaches, whoever our WR coach is needs to explain all the dropped passes. So do the guys that can’t catch. On offense, defense and special teams, we have failures out there on the field time and again. Our punter is pathetic, our quarterback is either terribly overrated or still feeling the effects of a bum shoulder. Not having developed a competent backup is on the head coach. If the quarterback room is filled with Leary and 4 guys that couldn’t start for a NAIA school then that’s the head coach’s fault. This schedule the rest of the year will be tough to find one win. We need a complete revamp of our schedule. Quit playing these MAC teams.

So now Stoops is greater than Bear Bryant?

Not unless Barnhart is insane enough to want the Joker Phiilips fiasco all over again. Then again, I could see him doing something like this to keep from having to actually do his job and go through the whole search & hiring process.

Jon Sumrall. Yes he only been a Head Coach for 21 games but he 17-4. Only makes 1M a Year so UK can get for way less than they paying Stoops and his teams averages 7O offensive plays a game presently. With Texas and OU coming to the SEC, No Divisions and 9 game SEC schedule more than likely in the Future UK always going to be 7-5, 8-4 team I feel and Sumrall can do that and the games be more exciting and his offensive style gives us a chance for major upset now and then.

Honestly, I’d take Bobby Petrino over Stoops. I’ll take bullets here but that’s how low I’m willing to go. X’s & O’s wise, it’s not even close. Recruiting would dip on defense but he’d have us scoring. Wait until he gets his guys at A&M if Jimbo stays another few years.

Even as much as I think changes are needed, unless the $9 mil man screws up rules or leaves on his own he isn’t going anywhere. Barnhart won’t make a move as long as there are butts in the seats at Commonwealth.

But to stay on topic of the thread, if we had to find someone I’d make a run at Dabo Swinney. He’s looking like he needs a change of scenery.
