I thought (Contrary to popular belief, I guess) that this was a well-coached game marked by adjustments in between halves, drives and even plays. Some weak tackling in the second and third levels and a poor showing by the running backs marred a strong performance by both the offensive and defensive lines against two of the stronger trench units the Gamecocks will see the rest of the year.

Three turnovers netting zero points is bad coaching.
Should have taken the training wheels off Doty the whole game. Forget the run game until they fear the pass. Doty played great when they let him. Take away the drops and he completed 90% of his passes. The coaches obsession with trying to establish the running game cost us that game. We were moving the ball with the pass consistently.
Should have taken the field goal.
That game could and should have been won.
*****
I think the coaches built our offense this off season based on the assumption that we would be able to run the ball well as a given. We cant and now the whole plans not working.
*****
Number of missed blocks, OT blocking same guy as the guard while outside backer runs free at QB? Several DT in the backfield right after the snap... Not a good offensive line showing at all, Give them a D...

Man handled again at the LOS.
Kentucky is a less talented Georgia-styled team. Well coached, physical, and confident.

Doty was 17-25 with 4 drops. He was efficient. Should have let him throw it 30-35 times. We tried to run the ball on almost every drive except The first drive in the second half when oh look, Doty completed every single one of his passes except for the one that Jaheim bell dropped when he was smacked out of bounds. Including a touchdown.
All I’m saying is if we weren’t so predictable with the run, which was never going to happen, Doty would’ve won this game with those turnovers.

Fake injuries by Kentucky...
THAT should have been a 15 yard penalty, two or three plays later#14, the injured’ bastard sacked Doty. The SEC refs suck a--!
*****
Actually it's not a laughing matter that should have been a 15 yard penalty and it really changed the whole game post to them stopping Us by faking injuries and then we went backwards and instead we would have had the ball in scoring position... Clearly see him on replay look to the sideline then fall down and pretend he's hurt
*****
They showed the replay- you can see Stoops in the background making a big pointing motion like he had a hunting rifle- he waves it around until one of his players- the CB- sees him, then he pulled the trigger and made a motion like the gun recoiled. The player who was jogging along fine sees it and immediately fell to the ground grabbing his leg! It was like something out of a cartoon!
*****
Well coached team right there. They know the gray areas that the refs will tolerate. It's not cheating if you can get away with it.....it's smart football. That comes from years of experience and Stoops has it.
*****
It is reviewable in 2021, and a sportsmanlike penalty this year according to the ESPN crew calling our game. The SEC officials didn’t see what the entire stadium and the viewing audience saw, which was a FAKE INJURY??? The kid literally walked back to his defensive position following the play, looked at the sidelines and FAKED a F’ing injury. I suggest you watch the instance in case you missed it. Obviously was FAKING, and this ‘INJURED’ UK defender, was healthy enough to ‘juke’ our RB and sack Doty three or four plays later (#14). It was bullshit plain and simple. SEC refs are garbage and that’s being offensive to garbage.
*****
Kentucky has literally been using fake injuries as a part of their game plan for years.

Total bush league move by Kentucky. Really pathetic

A lot of intensity in the stands and loud. Almost all the fans stayed pretty much the whole game. Except right at the end. The players we’re playing with intense passion and heart. Stadium was almost 90% to 95% full from where I could see. Not happy with outcome, but it’s been a while since I saw this much energy at William’s Brice. Frankly I was shocked in reading all the negativity on this board from last night. Maybe a few of y’all need to go to some games instead of griping about them.

I was at the game, as I am every game. The offense this staff puts on the field is pitiful. Had we struggled to run the ball last season, I’d give them a ‘pass’, but that’s not the case. We have four returning OL, two TE’s, and a RB that ran for about 1,300 yards. We stink on that side of the ball. We had 80 yards of total offense at halftime against a team that almost lost to some Mickey Mouse school from Tennessee last Saturday. The fans did their part, the ‘offensive’ offense did their best to take us out of the game series after series. Tired of hiring OC’s that are on the job training rookies. I will add we had two 4th down conversions in the 4th quarter, but receivers dropped both well thrown balls. My take
*****
The crowd was the best I’ve seen it in a good while. Going three and out after recovering the fumble on their side of the field was the lethal blow to crowd moral; it sagged after that.

This team ...
Will beat someone they're not supposed to this year. They're getting better. R-E-L-A-X.
*****
The offensive line isn't good enough. They've struggled against inferior competition and shown no improvement 4 games in. Our 5 can't block their 4 on passing downs. Likely just two more wins, Troy and Vandy.
*****
When you break it down- we played a close game against a team that was favored over us… Wish the offense looked better. At least we didn’t… Embarrass ourselves??.. Shit, I got nothing. Anybody want to help me out?

Kentucky accepted who they are and gave stoops many years
*****
This is Stoops 9th season. It is Beamers 1st year. The pressure to win this game is greater for Kentucky. If South Carolina wins this game Kentucky fans are going to start wondering if Stoops has reached his ceiling.

Stoops has been playing the same first and second down defense, daring this team to throw, for about 6 years now.

Stoops has laid out the blueprint for success in the SEC unless you are Ala, Ga Fla or AM.

Kentucky has some very large people. Good lawd.

It's almost impossible to lose a game with a plus 4 turnover margin. That just shows how incredibly anemic our offense is right now.

+4 turnovers, and holding them to 16 points. If you allow fewer than 17-21 points you should win.

At least we’re pathetic with no talent. Clemson has talent and still sucks.

Probably going to hurt some feelings but QB is a massive problem for us right now. We don’t have a D 1 player on our roster
