Good write-up by Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo Sports. The key takeaways are that AD is a transcendent, almost "supernatural" player...and that he needs help.

Davis reminded everyone again, including himself: There's no one like him in the NBA. Those long arms and legs, all that explosiveness and skill, and his game borders on the supernatural. All alone on Sunday – 59 points and 20 rebounds in the Pelicans' victory over the Pistons. Only, these nights are fleeting. He needs help. He's rightfully looked long and hard at himself, but the Pelicans need to surround Anthony Davis with the proper talent, the proper people. Franchise stars can't do it alone – and they sure can't do it with New Orleans' roster.

My fear is that AD will get injured trying to carry his team on his shoulders. He really needs to relocate.

Gordon and Anderson come off the books this year. They combine for about $24 million in salary cap flexibility.

Holiday and Evans come off the books the year after that. Combined with Anderson and Gordon, that's about $45 million in salaries. If they wait it out and don't make any stupid decisions, stockpile some solid picks, they could conceivably sign a couple of max players as well as draft in the higher end of the lottery.

They should let Anderson and Gordon walk this summer and tank next season. Get a solid draft pick, and let Holiday/Evans walk the summer after that. A few lottery picks and a pair of max players could fix the problem within two seasons.

Some talking heads on ESPN thus morning were saying AD was a disappointment this year. They actually said this was because he dropped from one of the best three players to one just the top five or so

He would've been the perfect one to be with Spurs and carry the torch after Robinson & Duncan for few more titles. Big pipe dream....
