We still firing Calipari???

I'm ready for Cal to go. I am sick of his system and goals to get players in the pros.

He has won his 'ship and HOF, now his goal is making kids rich.
I agree. Normally by now this far into the season Cal has already mentioned how much money in contracts his former players have, how many families he’s changed and so on a dozen times, but I think he knows it would only aggravate the fan base even more with the start we’ve had so he’s kept quiet about that. Just my opinion.

Name that coach...come on, you want to get rid of Cal ASAP, who is coming to replace him?
Such a lame question.

Well, I'm no Beard fan, but if he makes another final four, he will have a better resume than Cal pre UK (minus the NJ Nets years). But also with 2 less programs on probation with stripped seasons.

Brad Stevens is a candidate, you can't say he wouldn't be, you don’t personally know him.

Musselman would be a good one.

Nate Oates is a good candidate, he's young and with the right tools, he would do very well.

But, the way I look at it, Cal isn't winning any titles with his system and he isn't changing, so if he quits after the NIT this year, we only need to find a coach that can equal or improve upon 2 elite 8's and an NIT in 6 years.

Remember, the stuff Cal accomplished from 09-15 is no longer happening, so trying to say we need to find a coach that can do that, is wrong.

Cal didn’t do that stuff pre-UK and he hasn't done it post 2015.

We really don't know what guys like Oates, Stevens, Musselman or Beard would do if given the keys to the UK basketball program. It’s a powerful thing and if utilized correctly, can make a coach a hall of famer and the program could thrive.

I don't want Cal gone, but to answer your question:

Stop playing dumb and saying Stevens. He’s not leaving being the head coach one of the top 2-3 NBA jobs to go to a college. He’s just not.

And you seriously, if they gave you the power, tomorrow would trade Cal for Oates, Beard or Musselman???

That’s laughable and nobody here can take anything you say seriously ever again if that’s the case. 😂

Yet, you really have no clue if he would or not. Pitino left New York for Kentucky.

My pick would be Nick Nurse. He reinvigorated Toronto's offense and turned them into champions. He's only 53 years old, runs a modern offense that our fans would love, and has the NBA pedigree. Vogel would also be an option. The upside with him is that he gets along with Rondo and could bring him in as associtiate head coach.

There's plenty of options. Just because you haven't thought beyond Shaka Smart and Brad Stevens doesn't mean that Kentucky would be as myopic as you.

So you want the last two NBA champion coaches to come to UK? Ok, great. Maybe Pat Riley is interested in coming with one of them. Maybe Coach K will be an assistant. Or maybe, Doc Rivers and Gregg Popovich can come as well.

Get out of here with this nonsense. Vogel and Nurse?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Exactly. You would think I was trying to make a case for UK being the #1 program of all time, being able to pay somewhere between $10-12 million as a base salary, and only requiring half the games as the NBA schedule with two to three less months of work.

I need to "get out of here with this nonsense." Good call, per usual.

I'm still looking forward to you posting negative tweets about the program every half second. What gives, man? You're slipping these days.

Let's start at the beginning. AGAIN, you don't know a single thing about Brad Stevens. So you have no idea what he will or won't do and keep in mind, UK would back a Brinks truck up his driveway, UK would offer much more money than he's making now. Also, if it were to happen, it wouldn't be tomorrow, you are stuck thinking this would be a tomorrow thing.

Now, go back to my post (#180) and read it again. You obviously didn't read it thoroughly enough. I said "if Cal quits". There is no trading and I'm not talking about Cal getting fired. Again, if Cal quits, those are the guys I would look at and I would force BS to make me leave without a signed contract. He would be my first target.

I knew you would do this. You play this stupid game where you want people to give you a list, then when given a list, you find reasons to say they are no good, knowing that back in 2007, when it came time to replace Tubby, you would have poo Poo'd the idea of hiring Cal, because he only had 1 final four and he left UMass on probation. You know I'm right.

Most people that understand the game know who we beat the last three games. Absolutely nothing has changed other than ALLEN now playing.
‘this team will end up with a significant losing record.
‘zero sets on offense, not at all trying to be a dick or as JC says “A BENNIE” but anyone being honest knows lipstick isn’t going to help.
