Acting like college basketball came to Kentucky with Cal is why most people think as you suggest.
College basketball sure got a lot better for UK after Cal came to Kentucky. That is unless you were a Billy G fan and loved recruiting eight graders.
Not true!! It may have gotten better after it got worse after the RP and Tubby championships. RP and Tubby won as many NCs for us as Cal and if not for an injury, RP would have won more.
So I have heard friend. It was sarcasm. Glad to know I brought you some possible enjoyment because this team at 3-6 has been less than enjoyable at times. Now back to the topic at hand; the fans did not recruit a so called #1 ranked class and then coach said team to a 1-6 start. Cal did.
If is a big word. If for a few things Cal would have at least three titles. How many titles did RP win at Louisville in 16 years? How about zero and left them on probation. What did Tubby do after he left UK? Absolutely nothing. Cal has had the most wins of any college basketball coach in the last ten years.

Yep...... this is the Age of The Internet Warriors and a very very polarized country. Cal helped create this but all hell breaks loose if anyone dares infer so.
As for the ballgame it was awesome to see the team go into Florida and deliver a good ole butt kicking to the gators.

What a dumb question ask. Why do you care about what RP did in Louisville? I am talking about what he did at UK. That is the discussion and not about Louisville. Wow you are really reaching. It doesn't mean a think if you don't get the ring. Also, Cal stacked up a lot of wins before getting out recruited for the OADs by Duke.

What he did at Louisville is an indication of what he would have done at UK after leaving the Celtics. If he was so great why did Cal beat him 80% of the time and twice in the NCAA tourney when it really counted.

Stevens makes a lot more than 3.6. That is just his base salary. He also doesn't have to recruit or deal with the NCAA or college kids or handlers. He's turned down over 10 college jobs and expressed he has no interest in coming back to college level as of now. Getting Rupp back would honestly be a more realistic option than getting Stevens, if that tells you anything.

Hey if you want to brag about his recruiting abilities, I am all in with you. If you want him to hang around as a recruiter after we get a real coach, I am good with that. However, when it comes to using his recruits, he has not a clue and you are on your own.
