We have players crying on the bench because they aren't playing. This is bad.

Mintz looks annoyed af. Got to be tough that he is playing with a bunch of underperforming children while his former team is top 10. He thought he was coming here to play For a title contender and get to experience all the big time stuff that comes with UK basketball and our fan base. Instead covid cancels all the good parts and you’re left w the bad....and the team is teetering on the point of no return.

God I hope they do not read these boards, we are literally making things worse.

We can blame Cal all we want but there is a point where these kids need to take responsibility, you can't guard your man you sit, you can't make shots you sit. All those sunshine pumpers in their lives have made them soft, I like Brandon Boston mentality, get up and go to work. Eventually hard work will pay off.

I've seen a lot of situations where working hard is not enough but it sounds good.

It’s very bad. Fletcher was crying and left the bench, cal and Clarke were screaming at each other, Hagans was crying on the bench and posting videos with money not too many games ago. We’re running off/forcing guys out who can absolutely light it up and help a program immediately, just so 17 year olds who can’t play a lick can reach their dreams after they leave. People who have been fanatics for years upon years do not even care anymore. It’s time to get this clown off the sidelines.

he can always come back next year. I hope he does too. he’s a player and a guy who can be our point guard on a title team. Just imagine him with hardy at 2 and sallis at 3.

I’d love if he chose to come back but I doubt he will. Especially if this season keeps going this way. He’s a grown man now and likely ready to start his career and life in something else.

Plus, he knows, as you and I both know, that he wouldn’t start next year at the beginning of the season likely. Hardy and Sky would be prioritized.

It’s sad because we know that Cal would start the unproven 5 star freshman over the 5th year senior who is a great shooter and finisher.

His emotions got the best of him, he mad about his playing time, I would be too, every player should be getting a chance to play, especially when the ones ahead of him are not playing well.

In all fairness this isn't my 8 y/o son's league...not everyone deserves a chance to play.

That said, when others are playing like crap and you have a talented kid sitting there I don't understand why he doesn't play...same with Allen.

He cannot play SF at this point for a good team and that needs to be explained to him bluntly. Learn to dribble and shoot, then complain.

We have asked Cam Fletcher to take some time and step away from the team. He needs to reflect and do some soul searching to get his priorities in order. Any attitude or actions that are detrimental to this team will not be tolerated – and that goes for everyone on the team.
We have a culture here that’s been built over the last 11 years AND IT WILL NOT CHANGE. Through good times and bad, this culture is meant to change individuals and change maturity levels. This hurts our team, but this is about Cam and his future.
I talked to Cam and his mother and they know I care about him and I love him, but they also understand that there are changes that need to be made. It’s his job to decide whether he can perform within this culture both on and off the court.

Wow. Didn’t see that coming. He gone.

Cal once again doing a pitiful job of identifying players that buy into their role before they even get here.

He can't land kids without selling them on OAD, and that's pathetic.

I'm sick of his broken system. It doesn't work and he keeps getting by teams he's favored against in the tournament.

Why the hell did he even recruit that kid? All I heard about him last fall was that he as a possible transfer option.

Cal is doing miserably when it comes to identifying guys who buy in. How is it so hard to identify kids who are realistic about their role before they get here? Our culture at UK is poisonous and doesn't work anymore.

You misquoted Cal there. You miss your shots and the guys behind you sit

I used to be able to always look forward to basketball season after reds and bengals let me down now uk right there with them what can i say three time looser got me down
Yep. I enjoyed UK's football season, the highs and lows, a bit frustrated but I was satisfied. But was really looking forward to UK basketball kinda adding some positivity to an otherwise bleak year. Reds going to the playoffs and then putting up zero runs was a total heartbreaker, and now we seem to be just unloading payroll. I'm hoping it's in a bid to sign someone like Lindor but I'd honestly be shocked if we actually do that. Bengals were always "house money" for me this season. I didn't expect anything. Kinda glad we'll be getting another high draft pick. We're a few years away from getting to where we're building towards in the next era.

Talk about dribbling and shooting Boston can't dribble very good. Very loose handle.
