Watching the ESPN 30 for 30 on Cal thread.

NCAA will go out of their way to punish Cal for some High school academic shenanigans, but some actual funny business on a real college campus...nah, not interested...

Been pretty fair and honest. Loved the behind the scenes stuff at A&M. This is good but it doesn't touch some of the other 30 for 30s

Fantastic Lies was the best 30 for 30, or maybe the four falls of buffalo. This isn't top 5.

Damn.. that was great.

Honestly, never knew about that part where he held players back so others could get action in the game.

Pretty clear to me now why he pushes players out the door, if Wagner doesn't declare for the draft when he does he would have never been drafted and made millions.

Would have been nice during that stretch they were talking about Cal not caring about academics, they would have talked about how we've never had any problems and have actually performed pretty well. Not long ago, UNCheat was perilously close to being put on probation or whatever that is for a too low APR.

What a remarkable guy. I never realized just how awful UMass was when he got there. Cal is on fire!

Ahhhhhhhhh is next season here yet? Let's crush those, as Lou Roe put it, as Cal called Terrence Jones, mother *******s!!!!!

The Celtics Lakers one if of game 4 in 84 could be the best.

Once brothers is the best for me.

And I don't watch football but the one on Marcus Dupree. Requiem for the Big East.

I liked this one too.

Once Brothers, The Two Escobars, June 17th 1994, Survive and Advance, and Fantastic Lies are my Top 5 30 for 30s.

This one was good, though.

It was all around good and fair as well. It was a Kentucky infomercial, but at the same time it showed cals low points as well as things he didn't have any control over. The Dejuan Wagner part was interesting, I had no idea he had to retire from that. I think that was the turning point for cal and not letting guys come back if they are a lottery pick.

Cal REALLY cares about his players! It's the main reason he has been so successful and will continue to be.

He doesn't care what the critics say, think, feel, etc., including the NCAA. After what has gone on at UNC and UofL, why should he.

I LOVE COACH CAL!!!! I am thrilled he is the UK Basketball coach!!

The U 1&2, One Night in Vegas, Catholics vs Convicts, The Day the Series Stopped, The Price of Gold were all great as well. Bernie and Ernie. I also forgot about Bad Boys and Winning Time about Reggie Miller and the Knicks.

dont think i'm hiding at all. think i'm pretty up front and honest. what are some fans hiding behind? passive aggressive and hypocritical bull shit.

2 weeks of cursing OUR COACH and how he runs this program....few seemed interested in a prime time 30 for 30 that is showing a side few know of the guy who leads our teams.

but yeah...i'm the asshole.

You do realize many might be, you know, WATCHING IT, right?!?!?!

But because they don't log on to here to talk to you about it while it's going on, they must not be interested... Good stuff!!

Yep..umass had never been to the ncaa tourney prior to him getting there. That's why when ppl say be can't coach...ask them to explain how umass won 30 games a year, bc lots of teams have one good player.

Really good. I was shocked to see Cal cry! Didn't think anything gets to him. Love his emotion. " He wants to win more than they do ". Common theme he's really tough on them but they all love him. Heard that about a lot of older coaches like Bryant Lombardi Rupp. Great leader and very deserving of the UK job.
