Not a perfect game by the team at all but a perfect game for them to build on and bond on. I loved the game! I felt this is the first game every player contributed something
Better hope Wagner improves, because he’s playing hero ball come hell or high water.

When is the tweak coming for defense? If we don’t get some rim protection soon we are gonna be in trouble.

Nice to see them get it going. St Joe's hit some tuff ones and rebounded well, but gotta step up the defense. And get at least one effing 7 footer in the game PLEASE.

If Mitchell doesn’t hit those big threes in OT, and Edwards follow up his blocked layup with a dunk, do you still think DJ played a good game?

22 and 6 is a pretty good game regardless of Mitchell's shooting. That's a really ridiculous way to try to dismiss his performance.

If we can't say 22 and 6 vs a bad team proves he's good--maybe dude's don't need to be in every thread criticizing him for that same game. I find the "We're still gonna hate on DJ" crowd ridiculous.
DJ was up and down but he’s getting slightly better. Bailed out my Mitchell and Edwards on some putbacks. Edwards struggled but had some moments towards the end.
We need all these guys to play well, I’m happy to see DJ and Edwards play well tonight!

Wagner was much better tonight. Edwards much better tonight. Dillingham continues to impress.

FTs almost did us in. I'll bet Cal has them shooting plenty in practices this week.

There's always gonna be some reason the kid didn't live up to expectations. 22 and 6 is a good game at any level.
7/17 is 41%. It's not some elite night. But it aint a terrible night eitiher.
I just meant by his standard. He has playing at such a high level, this was more of a "mediocre" game by his standard, so a great time for Wagner and Edwards to step up.
Wagner definitely had a very good game but did try to do a bit much when the game was on the line. Hopefully that is a teaching/learning moment in a game we pulled out the W for how to better handle the next time around. Good to see edwards take a step in the right direction tonight as well. Knocked down a couple of threes, had some big boards and at least one big defensive stop. I’ll take the games both had tonight and hope both can build on toward getting to where we all want them to be.
Yeah, I agree. That game was a trend in the right direction. No doubt, the team needs those 2 guys to get to their potential. I sometimes cringe when either of them shoot, being honest, but the team needs them at their best to be a team best. I'll take a positive trend for sure.

They are improving. I’ll take it. They aren’t the first freshmen we have had that to start slow. Just chill for a bit. Keep in mind we running without a center. A lot will change when Bradshaw shows up (lord willing).

Dillingham. However, DJ had 6 assists tonight. Tied for most on the team I believe.
This is getting really old. DJ looks a little better tonight and that has really pissed some people off.
