Vitale on Twitter pushing USF to hire Jurich as AD

The UofL fighting Tom Jurich’s are starting to chime in and urge South Florida on.

It’s time for Tom to become the Godfather to another city, and find new radio host lives to destroy.

Vitale was also very quick to throw Sean Miller and Zona under the bus the day their stuff came out. Cant have it both ways. He needs to retire this evening.

Would be fun to see how well he succeeds when he doesn’t have a city and university by the Nads. Where he can’t write his own incentive filled and not easily bought out contract because they actually have a president who’s in control.

USF is in about the same spot facilities wise that Jurich found UL in when he started there. Jurich is a total crook, but darned if he isn't good at getting things built with someone else on the hook for funding. USF students and FL taxpayers better go ahead and bend over if they hire lord Turtleneck.

On the plus side, USF will probably end up with lots of shiny new athletics facilities. The girls at Mons Venus would also be making fistfulls of cash from recruiting parties. And bringing in ole Rick to coach basketball (and run the hooker parties) would make too much sense.

True, the UofL campus looks like an entirely different world from when Jurich arrived in 1998 or whenever. And all that infrastructure bling is blinding many folks - all their fans, naturally, and even many of the local media. The "mid-level commuter school by the Ohio River" looks much better now. So, yeah, he got a lot done. As did Hugh Freeze. And that's the analogy for me. Ole Miss, not much football tradition or resources compared to its SEC brethren, suddenly has the #1 rated recruiting class in the country. What was the consensus reaction to that? "this doesn't add up. they must be cheating somehow." How does a school with such a low budget and so little resources as the University of Louisville go from looking like what it did to looking like what it does? Doesn't add up, something isn't right, they must be cheating somehow. And now we know that's exactly what was going on. Spending money they didn't have, stealing it from the Foundation, from taxpayers and who knows where else. It was a real house of cards. I suspect there are a lot of coaches who could land the #1 class if they recruited the same way Freeze did, and I suspect there are a lot of ADs that could build the way Jurich did if they did it the same way he did.....
