Why change now?Wonder if it's gonna be another middle finger.
They're saying academic fraud at UNC aint none of the NCAA's business. This should go over well with Sankey.
Yeah, we cheated worse than anyone ever, it looks really bad, and we cant actually defend that, but technically we didn't break any bylaw.Wow at the last statement in the opening summary:
"A challenge for this Panel will be to make a decision on the record and to avoid being influenced by media reports, commentary from various sources (including Mark Emmert, the President of the NCAA)2 and the investigative reports that reviewed these matters from perspectives unrelated to whether there have been NCAA rules violations. The record establishes that there is no bylaw violation by the University as alleged in allegations 1 and 5."
Syracuse got busted for not enforcing their own drug policy. The NCAA has no policy for illegal drugs, they let each member institution set their own. They didnt violate any NCAA bylaw and still got popped. UNC isn't getting out of this.If it isn't a NCAA matter, is it a University matter? Wonder why they didn't self-discipline for using players who should have been ineligible?
lol how is emmertt an outside source for ncaa rules? he's the frickin president of the ncaa.Wow at the last statement in the opening summary:

Lmao. And let's not forget Crowder's infamous email to Walden, "i've added several non athletics this week so I'm comfortable adding him". Kind of nullifies their argument.
Not to mention the angst that the frat circuit had found out about the classes.
I truly admire their "ballsy" approach, but good Lord...are you kidding me?! Are they truly that arrogant?

Not to mention the $$ we took in that we would not have been awarded without the academic conduct we decided to implement in the 80s.Yeah, we cheated worse than anyone ever, it looks really bad, and we cant actually defend that, but technically we didn't break any bylaw.
Too bad they played thousands of athletes that should've been academically ineligible.
If they get by with nothing or a slap on the wrist, there will be no more NCAA when Jenkins steamrolls them in the ninth circuit, where O'Bannon already beat them.If these cheaters get by with just a slap on the wrist then the rest of the schools should just pull out of the NCAA.
