Howdy BBN, Vol fan here. Looking forward to tomorrow game, hoping it is a fun, healthy one. Looking at the injury report, you guys do need a game with no injuries but I do wish Mincey was playing.

With this year's Vols schedule, we played Florida, a rival, in October instead of the traditional rivalry date of the 3rd Saturday in September. I know we have played you all around Halloween now for a few years. I actually went to the 2015 Halloween game up in Lexington, met some great Kentucky fans and tailgated with my cousin, who is also a big Kentucky fan. Would BBN prefer to keep playing us around Halloween, or maybe move the game to some other date on the schedule or like I would prefer, move the game back to its more traditional rivalry date of the 3rd Saturday in November?

Tennessee was the last game of the season for us during the 11-game schedule until Louisville was moved there. To me, I would rather drop Louisville altogether and I wouldn't mind playing Tennessee in late November again. But I grew up in Corbin, not far from the Tennessee state line. The Tennessee game has always meant more to me than the Louisville game. UKFans in Louisville and Lexington might disagree with me.

I don't want to continue to play Tennessee - lol! I would like a do over - haha! The game was always a big game. Not only the hillbilly rivarly from our cousins to the south - but it was also the way to make UK's season worth while. Unfortunately UK didn't commit to football the way Tennessee did and Kentucky has never been able to get on equal footing with Tennessee. Kentucky could have kept Louisville from ever being anything in football - but we just never seemed to care about football as a big deal in our state. I grew up living one mile from the Tennessee border - I hated the way we never committed to football - but of course we loved our Basketball. I have to give Tennessee credit - they finally decided to play real basketball and when they hired Rick Barnes. I told my Tennessee cousins they will finally be a baskebetall contender. Now, we have to do the same in football. We have upgraded over the last decades - but still far behind UT! However, we have a chance to bring someone back who will make the Tennessee game another annual monster game. I hope we have the strength and determination to do that!

But back to your question! Yes - it should be the last game of the year! No matter the records - it was a meaningful game to both teams then!

Go Big Blue!

Though it's the rival that I prefer to beat the most, It almost never happens. Having UT as our last game was a disaster for UK. I'm not sure if it's b/c UT usually has had superior depth and UK is always worn down by late November or if it's just a hex that hits UK no matter where the game is on the schedule.

This game for UK is very much like the UF game for UT. UT should have lost to UF this year and was very lucky to win. Likewise, UK has been very lucky to beat UT EVER (including the win over the horrendous Butch Jones team and the game that broke the streak when UK was using a WR at QB).

I hope the game goes away as a permanent foe (and I admit that this is a sad statement), but if it doesn't, then I like the idea of moving it around and trying it in mid September or early November.
