I had an extended interview with Lafayette offensive tackle Landon Young this afternoon. Some really good stuff that I'll probably write up in Q&A format so you can read it in its entirety.
Young has talked it over with his family and told the Kentucky coaches that he's decided to take some other visits. He will visit Alabama sometime within the next month and he is likely to visit Ohio State as well. Both schools have offered. Young told me he's just making sure that he made the right decision. He said Drake Jackson is at the same place. Both are solid; both will continue to take visits. Young is pretty good friends with Davonte Robinson but says he hasn't spoken with the fellow Lexington native since he picked up his Notre Dame offer. He noted that Robinson usually keeps pretty quiet about things like that anyways.
Anyways, Young is up to 285 pounds and is really coming into his own, obviously as Kentucky expected him to. He told me that he would love to see UK get to their sixth win this year but it's not a necessity to keep him on board.
