I don't know if Wade will be swapped out in the second half but he is doing fairly well for a freshman QB in his first start with starting field position inside the five most of the time with no OL blocking, no WR blocking, and no RB running.

No one was gonna do well, but these games can kill confidence as you move into the off season. It is what it is I guess, none of our bench at that position matters it seems

That is usually because Kentucky plays off coverage and is giving the QB 8 yard cushions for his receivers

Short sighted. He’s a dual threat QB with NFL size and a decent arm. He was a 4star out of HS and his 1 year of reps was limited running a pure pocket passing system under an OC that boxed in Levis’ athleticism and limited his running (designed and scrambling) even before the injury.

Wade was also 3rd or 4th string in Scangs system and idk what your experience is with college athletics but the 1st string gets 80-90% of reps. 2nd String get 10-20% and then runs the oppositions playbook. 3rd and 4th is strictly (99%) scout team unless they have a small package designed for them.

Wade has the measurables to be a good QB with 2 more years of development under Liam Coen and can be in the QB battle as a Redshirt Junior if he’s patient….or he can transfer and play at an ETSU/Vandy after next year

D is actually playing better than i thought they were. At the half, Iowa is 0-7 on 3rd down and only has 116 total yards.

It is a shame the offense has given up 2x the points the defense has.

Sheron is not a sec qb. I’m not saying that to take up for wade and not arguing Wade is, but Sheron isn’t a long term answer. We only have him because he came when we absolutely couldn’t get skill players at that time and no other decent school was on him. But they should go ahead and play him at some point. As far as how he looked, he had Rodriguez to stabilize some things and defensively SC isn’t near Iowa. That being said, Sheron is two years in the program, so maybe he can manage us being atrocious offensively better than an inexperienced true freshman has

Wade has an awful throwing motion. He needs a LOT of work before he will ever be a starter at QB and if I'm being honest, I don't see him ever starting in the future here at QB. He probably needs to start bulking and try his hand at TE, because his future isn't at QB.
