UK-Auburn Sunday Doubleheader

Question as Malley comes in to pitch, is Carson Coleman injured, because he threw a perfect inning down at Arky, and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

They have been oddly careful with him for some reason. I understand that he struggles with giving up walks, but he is nasty and dominant with strikeouts. Seems like they'd use him more when they need a big strikeout but they don't. I really didn't like that they took him out against Arky.

Aklinski pops up to end the inning. This wind is crazy. Short stop ran from his position all the way to right center before the center fielder finally took it.

Agreed, loved his stuff when he came in with bases loaded.

I liked all of it but the pitch he left up. That was a bad pitch that is possibly a home run most other times.

Becker goes down swinging to start the UK 6th.

Collett with a string grounder through the right side for a 1 out base hit. Lewis going to run for him.

Heyer has left some very good pitches in the zone today. Still, he's got a strong eye and he works a 3-1 count after looking at the first pitch. Full count on a foul ball and he keeps battling. Walked him.

Shinn advanced the runners with a ground out to third before Cottam grounds out up the middle. 1-0 going to the last inning.

Tough break on leadoff single for AU. Can O Corn pop up to LF but with wind today Pompey was positioned way over in LCF. It drops.

Pompey is just not a great outfielder. First batter bloops one into left and Pompey doesn't get a good read and it goes for a hit.

Sac bunt moves the runner. Off the wall in right for the next hit and we're tied.

We have to find an effective closer! I was hoping Belanger and Ming would develop some pitching , to offset our hitting. My opinion is as bad as the weather has been , it’s affected our pitching in practice and getting warmed up properly.

This is not a CWS team. Had high hopes after the Houston weekend and then at home against Texas Tech, but no way we can overcome our pitching staff.
