UF depth chart out…no CRod as expected

I just understand why we have to suspend him more than one game? Bamas DC got a DUI and didn’t miss a game. Most SEC teams have players do just as bad and don’t suspend them. Why does UK have to handcuff themselves?

These young men have to start setting better examples for coaches and administrators. The admin has no choice but to overpunish the players. Look- we've had coaches get DUIs and divorces. Next thing you know, we might have admin selling PEDs! We MUST stop the MADNESS!!

I just want MItch to come out and address it. If he has no answers, no clue, no real pull here, then I want Eli to come out and address it. Why is that so difficult?
Seriously? What's so difficult about doing something you're not legally allowed to do? Gotta love Cats Illustrated.

What is FERPA?

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that affords parents the right to have access to their children’s education records, the right to seek to have the records amended, and the right to have some control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information from the education records. When a student turns 18 years old, or enters a postsecondary institution at any age, the rights under FERPA transfer from the parents to the student (“eligible student”). The FERPA statute is found at 20 U.S.C. § 1232g and the FERPA regulations are found at 34 CFR Part 99

Fact is it's nobody's business.

Not issuing a firm penalty is bullsht, but I don't need to know any details. Just get it done instead of leaving it hanging like a cloud over the team. He should be playing until they announce the penalty.

He's not legally allowed to come out and field questions like our head coach is doing?

You're very agitated about this, for some odd reason. Do you mind telling us why you are defending Mitch so hard, and resorting to calling people names for suggesting Mitch should DO SOMETHING.

KSR was sure in agreement about that. They're sick and tired of Mark being embarassed when it's not even his call! He's told us that much, and remained a gentlemen by not telling us who is. So, next man up is Mitch. He's the AD. He (should) be in charge of making sure our coaches have all the tools they need to win games. He should be the one out there explaining why CRod is out, why he can't mentions specifics, etc etc etc.

I know nothing about violating ferpa...but based on that paragraph you linked, that doens't have jack to to do with shit here. There is no privacy rule that prevents whoever is in charge from stepping up to that same podium Mark Stoops speaks at every Monday, and addressing the questions about Chris Rodriguez. How long is he out? Is this an NCAA issue? When do expect your investigation to wrap up? "No comment". Fine, jackass, at least you stood up there like the boss you are and explained to the nation that you are holding out CRod for reasons you can't explain. See how well THAT goes over in the media circles.

Everytime this stupid privacy stuff does come up, and I thank you for brining it up here - I'm reminded of the infamous Lloyd Tubman incident. Being such a UK code of conduct scholar, I'm sure you remember that incident much better than I do. I don't remember exact details, but from what I recall UK ruined a kid's football career and education here over rumors/allegations that turned out to have no standing. That has always pissed me off that NOBODY from the school had to say a word about that. It was like it didn't exist, never even happened. That was and still is unbelievable to me...

...and I'm getting sort of the same vibes here. UK is above and beyond us peons, and they don't have to answer shit.

I'm defending the truth. You guys come out and spew ignorance and make up conspiracy theories when you have no idea what's going on. No one will comment because of FERPA, yall have been told this 1000 times yet you refuse to accept it. FERPA absolutely appies here and is Federal Law.

Yall claim Mitch Barnhart is behind this when clearly it's the office of student conduct that Mitch Barnhart and Mark Stoops have no control over, and for good reason. They do investigations and stundent athletes will be on the shelf until they clear them. Just like with the frat party incident last year that yall falsely claimed Mitch Barnhart handled poorly when he had nothing to do with it.

Yall love to throw arrows but melt down when challenged and the same energy is directed towards you. I've been called an ass, a troll, not to mention the thousands on names yall called Barnhart but you're in your feelings about name calling. Give me a break.

Nobody knows the truth because nobody has addressed. Not one person. Why can't the leaders of our University, the bosses of Mark Stoops, take 10 fn minutes, sit up there by the podium, and take these stupid questions?

You can't answer that because there is not logical reason they won't, other than they're scared. They will look bad if they stand up there like an adult and answer these questions truthfully....which means saying something like...

"Chris Rodriguez is suspended indefinitely while we investigate matters which are private in nature. No further comments".

"clearly it's the Office of Student Conduct"....

Clearly NOBODY knows wtf that is, and clearly NOBODY has ever mentioned that. The whole thing is clear as mud. The fact that a branch of a University called the "Office of Student Conduct" could have enough pull to sit an All-American SEC running back is ridiculous and embarrassing.....and that's one good reason Eli, or the daggum secretary of the Office of Student Conduct Club won't release a statement telling us who's in charge of this mess.

You know who goes to the office of student conduct? Me after breaking the campus alcohol policy twice. GTFO. OFFICE OF STUDENT CONDUCT.

Chris Rodriguez has been nothing but a model student athlete here at UK, and quite frankly that young man is worth more than a lot of students combined. He should not be dealing with this.

CRod coming back won't fix the offensive line. Hell, he wasn't even guaranteed to come back this season until he basically fumbled away his draft position. Furthermore, blaming Mitch won't fix the situation. Y'all are raising your collective blood pressures to stroke levels over stuff that is quite literally above your pay grade.
What is your pay grade?

Why would you assume he would want to come out and field questions about it? Are you suggesting UK force him to field questions about it?

I know he doesn’t because he’s a pompous individual. I said he SHOULD.

Our head coach is answering those questions every single day, and he’s got nothing to do with it. Whoever is in charge needs to grow a pair.

Sorry, I misunderstood who you meant by he. I thought you meant CRod. What difference would it make if Mitch or Eli talked about it? They can’t tell you anything either because of privacy laws. The only person who can shed light on it is CRod so I thought you meant why doesn’t he answer questions and tell us what happened if Stoops can’t. No one at UK can tell you what happened because of privacy laws. Only CRod can tell you and I doubt he wants to.

Now depending on what the situation is, perhaps someone at UK could provide more detail on the length of the suspension but if it involves an outside party or if the situation involves a review board of some kind, they can’t even answer that question with any certainty.

As it should be, respect the privacy they aren't pros yet. I respect the decision to keep quite. It makes sense. Keep that competitive advantage for Saturday night at 7, make them prepare for both possibilities.

Clueless about everything. Our coach didn't answer questions on the subject because he's not allowed to. Also it was his Monday press conference, happens every single Monday during the season. You act like he called a presser to answer questions about this.

You've been told about FERPA 1001 times now and in post after post you still act like you don't get it and act like it isnt a thing. You just deny objective facts to push forward your agenda.

Whoever is is in charge needs to grow a pair. Violate federal law to appease angry message board guy. LOL. Good luck with that.

If missing one guy ends a season we have more problems than a suspension.

I heard originally Crod was done. Then 4 games. Then 3.
Beats me. Wish he hadn't broken ANY rules but hey, he did.
Since I have no idea of what the rule is, I'm not in a spot to say if it was warranted or not.

All you RBs, show what you got. Offensive Line, show what you've got.
Things will play as they will.

This isn’t an Office of Student Conduct issue. Not sure who said that but they are dead wrong.

Nah, you want to be a dirty program with no standards or discipline and cheating necessary. All why acting holier than thou.
This is funny. People I would trust say it’s not a legal nor a NCAA issue. It all stays with UK

It’s been 3/4 months. If you’re that incompetent that you can’t make a decision in that amount of time, you need to move on

Breaking scuttlebutt....from MJ (so could be 100% false in a completely wrong direction)

It's an NCAA issue. UK took this to the NCAA.

Which is unbelievable, and frankly disgusting, imo.

Seems like Uk Hospital, being it is UK, paying Chris for hours he didn't work...well, that is an issue. Even in the NIL world, a school can't pay a player. However, they can give a kid a job, and that kid can get paid for doing work

The issue, as told to MJ, is partly that the NCAA doesn't know what to do exactly, this is sort of new issue.....PROBABLY BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER SCHOOL IN THE NATION THAT WOULD SELF REPORT SOMETHING THIS STUPID TO THE NCAA AND THEN SPEND WEEKS/MONTHS WAITING FOR THE NCAA TO ISSUE A RULING THAT THE SCHOOL SHOULD HAVE JUST HANDLED IN HOUSE.

He's told UK expects to hear something this week from the NCAA, and they believe Jordan Wright could play.

If NCAA investigating I wonder why the national reporters with all their sources in Indy haven’t broken the news yet.

The fact the admin is making this a week to week thing makes me think the NCAA is involved somehow and they’re waiting on some word from them. If it was a UK thing I think we would have known the extent a long time ago.
Posted this a couple days ago and looks like this is the case.

Sorry haven’t been on here much lately…

does anyone know what happened to CRod?

just heard from 2 separate UK employees basically the alleged “real” story, wasn’t aware if board knew yet!

This is the alleged board. Spill it or delete this post. You’re worse than a pecker teasing nympho if you don’t. And no, I don’t know you at all.

What happened to the other CRod thread where that guy said he heard there was some kind of new issue? Did mods delete?
