He's not legally allowed to come out and field questions like our head coach is doing?
You're very agitated about this, for some odd reason. Do you mind telling us why you are defending Mitch so hard, and resorting to calling people names for suggesting Mitch should DO SOMETHING.
KSR was sure in agreement about that. They're sick and tired of Mark being embarassed when it's not even his call! He's told us that much, and remained a gentlemen by not telling us who is. So, next man up is Mitch. He's the AD. He (should) be in charge of making sure our coaches have all the tools they need to win games. He should be the one out there explaining why CRod is out, why he can't mentions specifics, etc etc etc.
I know nothing about violating ferpa...but based on that paragraph you linked, that doens't have jack to to do with shit here. There is no privacy rule that prevents whoever is in charge from stepping up to that same podium Mark Stoops speaks at every Monday, and addressing the questions about Chris Rodriguez. How long is he out? Is this an NCAA issue? When do expect your investigation to wrap up? "No comment". Fine, jackass, at least you stood up there like the boss you are and explained to the nation that you are holding out CRod for reasons you can't explain. See how well THAT goes over in the media circles.
Everytime this stupid privacy stuff does come up, and I thank you for brining it up here - I'm reminded of the infamous Lloyd Tubman incident. Being such a UK code of conduct scholar, I'm sure you remember that incident much better than I do. I don't remember exact details, but from what I recall UK ruined a kid's football career and education here over rumors/allegations that turned out to have no standing. That has always pissed me off that NOBODY from the school had to say a word about that. It was like it didn't exist, never even happened. That was and still is unbelievable to me...
...and I'm getting sort of the same vibes here. UK is above and beyond us peons, and they don't have to answer shit.
