Transgender Athletes, Opinion ?

200 years from now, if the body of the Penn "trans gender" swimmer were to be exhumed and DNA testing done to determine the gender of the corpse...the results would be MALE.
Sex and gender is not a human construct. It's the natural world's way of propagating all species and it's part of the very foundation of life on Earth.

You can change your name, wear anything you want, take hormones everyday and have surgeries till the end of time but, a DNA test on your corpse in the far off future will still tell the tale.

Get out in the world and see some things. Get your nose out of the Lamestream Fake News Enemy of the People Failing Media. You will see that this just really isn't a big issue.
If it isn't a very big issue then why is one political party in this country hellbent on pushing "trans rights" at every turn? It's simple. traditional Conservative values are being targeted at every level nowadays. Why? Because those values get in the way of people being free to do what they want, no matter how insane. Traditional values espouse personal responsibility as part of a orderly, civilized culture. That goes against the normalization of mental illnesses like gender dysphoria.
There is nothing normal about a desire to become the opposite sex. Why stop with genders. Couldn't someone just as easily say they were a sturgeon or a tennis ball? I mean if we're going to just ignore science.
Because in a civilized society, people who did that would be treated for mental illness.

Who cares what your DNA says after you're dead? Why not be happy while alive?
Other than sports, who cares what trans people choose to do with their lives? I get the sports aspect, but don't get why anyone cares about any other aspect of trans people's lives.

Better get your vax if you will be needing a heart transplant anytime soon. The docs aren't wasting time/money/resources on folks who purposely choose not to make healthy lifestyle choices.

If he would have been if Florida or any other sane state of the south, this is a non topic. Good luck to you vax idiots 🍺

A few reasons why people “care” about this insanity:

- because it’s scientifically false
- because it normalizes mental illness
- because it’s an unenlightened idea that teaches that truth is not objective
- because if we head down the road of subjective truth then we’re ****ed as a society
- because it’s harmful to the nuclear family which is the bedrock of a healthy society
- because its toxicity is making its way into early education
- because while China leads the world in math, science and reading, our students are trying to figure out their pronouns (think this is a coincidence, btw?)

There’s a few off the top of my head. Let me know if you want more.

Call yourself whatever you want. Think you are whatever you want. Your right to do so. But do not expect and demand the rest of the world to bow to your delusions.

* Anytime UKO takes a strong position, I feel incredibly confident to be completely in disagreement. It confirms that I'm right. Most importantly, though, is that he's showing his cards. I believe the term is projection. You're plainly showing that your views on this subject have little to nothing to do with equality in sport, but are a part of a bigger picture of your hatred for liberals/democrats/the alphabet people, or whatever other fictitious, non-existent boogeyman that keeps you up at night. I'm talking about sports and fair competition, and you can go take your nonsense about fixing society elsewhere.

Get out in the world and see some things. Get your nose out of the Lamestream Fake News Enemy of the People Failing Media. You will see that this just really isn't a big issue.

They have everything to do with equality in sports, but as I said, this is a bigger picture than just athletics. Your shallow pea sized brain can't grasp that concept.

Congrats on all of your 100 milers and so forth. I am sure your car is covered in mileage stickers.

And fwiw...I am most definitely right.

That's a lot of words to just say you're a control freak and feel emotional distress unless you can tell others how to live their lives.

Wrong. I’ve voted libertarian in every Presidential election except for 2020. Nowhere in my post did I say I support any laws or regulations regarding trans people. Contrary to your assertion, I said they can call themselves whatever they want.

My post simply outlined why I care that society is normalizing and encouraging this behavior and why it affects us long term.

Saying society should not accept blatantly wrong biological assertions =/= control freak.

Of course, I get the usual leftist name calling and disparaging remark rather than an actual argument.

The irony to your post is you likely support mask and vaccine mandates.

Try harder next time.

If you claim to be anything other than what your DNA says you are, you're most likely suffering from a mental disorder and should seek medical help. Living in a fantasy world isn't healthy and could even be dangerous.

Meanwhile, all of the vaxed obese people and smokers are lining up for heart surgery.
If there was a vax for obesity and lung cancer they wouldn't be.
Also, if a former smoker tells the doc I'm not ever smoking again that is a possibility.
If a Covidiot promises the doc that they will never get Covid again......good luck with that.

Or maybe I actually practice Christianity instead of bigotry and prejudice.
LOL. You cannot be a Democrat and a practicing Christian. They are conflicting ideologies given the left's dogma. Also, your party despises Christianity, dude. How can you be this clueless?

You are so indoctrinated by far right hatred you can't see straight. I am one of many millions of Christians who are Democrat.
I could easily say the same of Republicans who don't follow the Bible they profess such a love for.
Examples are unbelievably numerous.

The Big Lie about the election....
Proverbs 12:22 — “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy”
1 of 7 things the Lord detests...
....."a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community." (Trump)

Passing judgement on their fellow man (like you just did) about many private issues like gender issues, gay marriage, political party etc and feel comfortable telling them who is and who isn't a follower of Christ.....
Matthew 7 : "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

Continuously pass laws favoring the rich, refusing to provide quality healthcare for all, and hurting the neediest among us.....
"How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven! Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven."
Deuteronomy 15:7-9 If there are poor among you, in one of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be selfish or greedy toward them. But give freely to them, and freely lend them whatever they need.

Bashing immigrants and refusing to allow them to come into the country when seeking asylum......
"When a stranger resides in your land, you shall not wrong him. The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as one of your citizens; you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt” (Lev. 19:33-34)

Refusing to vaccinate or support vaccinations in hospitals.....Romans 15:1-2
"We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up."

You may wanna read up on your "Good Book" before telling others they are not Christian for supporting Christian political agendas. It makes you look clueless.

Do not judge says the guy calling others Covidiots.. Sigh..
I'm also not telling others I don't agree with that they aren't Christians. We are ALL sinners.
BTW....Go back and look at the vile names I have endured on here by the people on here claiming Christianity and Christian values vs. my use of Covidiots or other derogatory terms. Mine pale in comparison.

There is no mention that this is an actual competition where a prize is awarded for victory. My guess is that these are just open event where the competition is against ones self to defeat the distance. Participation trophy stuff.

To UKO's point about "welcoming" transgender runners to my races, I probably didn't explain fully enough. I don't "welcome" them to races any different than I do anyone else. Not at races I produce/own, and not when I was in charge of the non-profit group. But trans people do exist, they do run, and they sign up in whatever way they choose. In nearly every single event I've ever been a part of, there was no rule in place for how people were to register. They just used their own judgement. And it has NEVER created a problem. Not one single time. This is hardly anecdotal evidence.

When I was VP of the non-profit group, this came up at a board meeting. Our board has always skewed very old, very conservative, very straight, and very white. The consensus, even among people who had been running in these events for 40+ years is "we have never policed how people sign up by gender, and it's never been a concern, so who gives a damn?" Even that extremely conservative group of old straight men realized this was a non issue. So no, we don't put rules in place. We don't ask for a DNA test. We don't feel someone's genitals at registration. We just take a complete hands off approach, and it has worked extremely well. For my 15 years worth of running. For 60 years worth of events from the non-profit.

MrLecter --> my ultra results (most of them) can be found HERE, provided you know my name. I'm not talented/fast, but I've had the opportunity to participate in a lot of cool events, sometimes along Hall of Famers and Olympians and world record holders. I have definitely participated in plenty of participation trophy/fundraiser/fun run type things, too. By the way, my next race is a 100-mile event in Las Vegas that is the USA Track & Field 100-mile national championship. (I am not going to win)

Pti runs, just in case anyone reading this thread couldn't figure that out.

And he wants you to know it.

I'll just leave this here for those wanting to cherry pick Bible verses. The Old Testament can be a real b!tch. I think we can all agree there is a great divide in this country (and message board) on this subject.

Deuteronomy 22:5

“A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

And while I'm at it, I'm providing an enormous amount of evidence that the huge concerns you have about fairness in sport is merely a projection of your own beliefs, and has little to no basis in reality.

But cheating is rampant. I personally had to issue a 4-year ban to this guy, a former Nicholasville resident and one of the best masters runners of his generation. I've gotten beat by this guy, too. Cheating happens all the time in running events. I've just never seen it in the manner you are so concerned with. Ever.

So rest easy tonight. The downfall of society is not coming as you're expecting it to, and I'm sorry your irrational fears and hatred are unwarranted. I guess you'll have to go find another Culture War to occupy your time.

Dude, what are you smoking? So you call someone who takes artificial drugs a "cheater" but you embrace someone who by God's own hand is blessed with natural male hormones who decides to participate as a woman? I don't think you understand what FAIR means. I'm not transphobic, just saying people in athletic COMPETITIONS should compete against the same sex.

I don’t think your “evidence “ proves anything relevant to the issue discussed in this thread.

No. I'm against that, as I have stated previously. Men should not be able to just switch over to women's sports and gain an unfair advantage. Luckily most sports have rules in place that prevent that from happening. In my particular experience, even when there are NO rules at all, it's still not an issue. It's such a non-issue that it's not even worth addressing. If I found that people were gaining an unfair advantage, I would address it. It just is not a concern. I might as well set a speed limit for vehicles driving to Mars.

So Barry Bonds taking steroids is cheating.
Barry Bonds putting on a dress and dominating women's softball is also cheating.

Only one of these circumstances is routinely happening, though. Like, ALL THE TIME. The other, in my experience, and in nearly every other sport in the country, just simply isn't. I'm sorry.

I appreciate your faux outrage over this non-existent issue, but the hypotheticals you're describing aren't a concern.

I sure hope nobody on this board is divorced or has remarried a divorced woman....Where is the outrage on here for that sin? Or lying....or anything else mentioned in the Bible?
Should we pass laws that don't allow divorced people to get remarried since it's a sin??
Matthew 5:31-32
31 “It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery."

Bottom line is that singling out one particular transgression like trans issues and slamming people for it is also a sin according to the Bible.

Can't cherry pick from just the sins you don't like.

Women competing for Olympic medals, NCCA and state championships, cash prizes, etc. should not be competing against biological men who desire to be women. It does not matter if it only happens in a few states or a few colleges or in a couple of Olympic events. It does not matter if hundreds of races take place and it is not an issue. It should not take place. Stories about a nonprofit organization that sponsors runs is simply not relevant.

You have mocked...the usual tactic by the left....as nonexistent, the fear of men saying they feel like a woman and then competing as a woman. UPenn says you are wrong. They also to applause from the left have doubled down on that practice. So it is open to more of this unless the sane who do not fear being canceled stand up to end it.

Further....Connecticut HS track would also disagree with you.

Those two have no business competing as girls. States like Kentucky have sensible rules already in place prevent this kind of unfair competition.

I appreciate that you actually found an example of this happening. There's no question these examples are out there, and I think they should be stopped.

If woman's balls hang out her runner shorts, is that cheating or indecent exposure?

Then will you cease with the dismissive attude and mockery of the view shared by many on here that this DOES happen and if not stopped...will spread as it ruins womens sports.
