WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Each class this coaching staff has evaluated many players with lower tier offers. After UK offers a scholly, other schools scout said player, and then you have multiple high profile teams coming after the kid. I've seen it happen too many times this early in the recruiting process to read another stupid post like this.
Excellent post.

One would think Keyser could easily find an example of "the example that I have set"... Or, perhaps he could admit that he's wrong or has me confused with someone else?

I'll be honest, probably better to just let it go, because I didn't remember anything about it until you brought it back up.
If people don't see you trashing our recruits, you won't be thought of as the guy that trashes our recruits. Just let it go.

Not holding my breath. A player commiting in 2016 means absolutely nothing. See 2015. Ohio St,Bama,Mich. St.,and Penn St. are all on his list but haven't offered yet.

I don't think it means absolutely nothing. That isn't right. It is an important step in the player's decision. Despite the current hysteria and the historical oddities of 2015, most players who make a verbal commitment will go on to sign with that school. But not all of them. It isn't official until they sign the piece of paper. But I would rather have his verbal commitment than the alternative.

It means nothing? What a wonderful attitude.

At the least it means we are in serious consideration, and probably will remain so, he has to have been impressed with a lot of things to have committed so early.

And if we have the season a lot of us think is very possible we might be glad to have another offer available by the end of recruiting, it works both ways, and I can't wait to see what talent this staff can bring in when we start winning based on what they have done with our prior record. And the new facilities will provide another boost, seeing is believing.

Because the Staff recognizes talent when it sees it.... Don't be a Debbie Downer.....:)

yeah, while the offers currently don't seem to be "great" offers, Stoops and this staff has proven they have the ability to evaluate early on and see talent that a lot of others haven't yet.

Three come to mind immediately in Jeremiah Denson (Auburn), Derek Kelley (Florida), and Jason Strowbridge (Ohio State). All of these guys were committed to Kentucky until late in the process and when we offered them, they didn't have near as many "big offers."

King (our 2015 running back) is another one as Auburn and Florida offered him the Tuesday before signing day just after he committed to Kentucky.

For me, I don't look at who offered our commitments NEAR like I used to due to Stoops proving how well he can evaluate talent.
Stowbridge didn't go to Ohio State, but another one of our DE commits did. I can't think of his name. Stowbridge picked North Carolina.

Wish we had fans that were the same caliber as the recruits Stoops is getting.

What!? You've made a living trashing recruits on this very board. He's just following the example you set.
Keyser you couldn't be more wrong than this. If you think DA trashes recruits, you must believe Petrino is a man of honor and that ISIS is a misunderstood benevolent organization for the advancement of human rights.

I am glad that we got the commitment. The truth of the matter is that early verbals in football do not count for much unless you are an elite program. How we compete on the field next year will be the X factor.

Well, your attitude has improved a bit, there is a lot of difference in "means nothing" and being glad to get his commitment.
