The science (OMG it's LOOMING) isn't in your favor. In the video Skiba used the words of the meteorologist and some professor from ND (I think) to refute what they were trying to say. This is literally the exact argument that I've been using this whole time, so good job on being creative. YOU claim that you can see Chicago across the water, so it must be flat. You aren't using science. You're making a claim on based on what you see. Just because someone uses the words of a professor and meteorologist doesn't make him right. Professors are wrong all the time, especially if they're only in college to work on getting their PhD, many are forced to teach so they choose some skewed topic where they can get away with as much bias as they want.
Confirmation bias. That's the problem he has. I can clearly see Chicago 43 miles away, so what I am seeing has to be Chicago because this guy says so, and it matches what I want to believe. Science or previous explanations be damned. Nope, can't be light refracting through the atmosphere, no way, no sir, no how, this guy who thinks what I think says so.

No one developed the flat earth theory, it has always been around it is simply drowned out by the ball earthers histrionic screeching every time it's mentioned.
No one is calling scientists liars, they are being duped like the rest of us. If your starting assumptions are incorrect your conclusions cannot be trusted to be accurate.
