UK’s roster is no different from any other team for example like Duke that I mentioned, in the same circumstances. You got called out for your stupidity and didn’t like it. That’s on you.

The Williams kid is a 6'5" PF. That's fine for whatever level NKU plays at, but he'd get eaten up in the SEC and is only overhyped on this board because of where he's from.
The Johnson kid was going to take minutes from?? He would've been a freshman the 38-1 year, wouldn't have played over a senior Poythress or Marcus Lee his sophomore year; wouldn't have played over Bam, Wenyen or Willis last year. Kid probably wanted to play and not sit for three years so he went to a school that fit his abilities more.
Tai is fine. We don't need 13 super good players, only 5 play at a time. Practice players are a thing. That's what Tai is.

Stop recruiting over guys and problem solved. UK does not need to recruit another 2G for the next 3 years. But if course if the next great thing is a 2G Cal will.
Also a perfect time to recruit a 5 that is a top 100 not top 10. Who knows what Wiseman will do.
Pick a couple guys who are good who can play and develop them over time and get the 5 stars you want at other positions. The idea that you need to get as many 5 stars as you can and hope they all leave after 1 year is faulty and will not win a title.
Only stubbornness would preclude anyone from seeing that at this point.
BTW UK has already offered 7 2019 guys.

It amazes that some never realize their conversations are documented. May be an idea to type just a tad bit slower and read what you type before hitting the post button.

That is the oddest remark I have seen.
Every coach tries to improve every position each recruiting cycle.
How would you go about recruiting lesser kids and turning away better ones?
People are already crying in their purses over Duke’s recruiting this year and next.

Every player can't be a contributor right away. There are only 200 minutes per game, and 13 scholarships. I think you want 1-2 "projects" on the team. They do sometimes pan out and contribute (Epps, Estill, Daniels, Perry, Stevenson, Harrellson, Willis, Hawkins).
We didn't need to recruit a PG for 4 years when we had Ulis, a four year player, and Hawkins, a sophomore Kentucky boy, along with sophomore Andrew Harrison.
I'm pretty glad we did.
You might want to take a break for a bit. That's an absolutely awful take. Cal is just supposed to assume Herro is here for four years and that Baker is healthy/good and doesn't need a single backup?

Wynyard is the recruit that Cal alluded to the in past where he said "I'll never take another recruit I didn't see play in person". He took him at recommendation of his good friend/Nike exec George Raveling. Wynyard is a poor fit for a Cal coached team in that he's not athletic but he's also not tough. He comes up with excuses and the staff has tried to give him time, but he doesn't want to work hard enough to earn minutes. His mystery ailments are tiresome. He needs to be sent packing in offseason.
I don't think Cal would push him out, but if given an opportunity (like this one it seems) he'd have a good reason to not continue the partnership. Kid goes back home to Austria and makes some money being a big guy in the paint. Could be worse.
