Stop Blaming NIL, and Look at Recruiting Numbers:

They brought in nearly all of their OCs team from New Mexico where he was the head coach. That team won 8 or 9 games with some very good wins IIRC.
Whatever came from NM, those aren’t ’upper tier’ recruiting ranking guys with top of the line measurables. It all goes back to being able to coach what you have and be able to evaluate personnel. NIL CFB, no NIL CFB, that hasn’t changed. Better be extremely flexible in what you want to run year to year and/or be good at picking round pieces to fit in round homes.

Mark Stoops cares about as much about winning college football games at the University of Kentucky as George R. R. Martin does about finishing Winds of Winter.

If I recall our transfer group was 'rated' as a top 5 in the nation group with Brock and Traynaham. The O line was supposedly addressed. Linebacker and secondary as well.

Look, I'm not gonna give Brad White any kind of pass. The deep zone secondary and lack of pressure up front is old. Iowa football won last year and tear before with no offense...so their defense stayed on the field.

If there are going to be no changes in the 3 main coaches there needs to be a heavy change in focus.

Coach Stoops for instance mentioned discipline. I've been waiting quite a while to see that happen. And I mean more than tying your shoes...blocking, route running, fighting for 50/50 balls, eliminate penalties, tackling.
Playing as a team.playing with effort and pride even if you get the short end.

When that happens I will be excited for UK football again.

Fat & Sassy…. Title of a book being written about two UK coaches and their contracts…. The problems at UK run deep OMO. What fans see is only the result of the sickness underneath. Good management usually produces a good product. I cannot believe a .500 coach gets top ten pay! Who does that? It is what it is……..

It's a cumulative effect, not developing talent, lack of discipline, missing on NIL. Here is your 4-8 season.
