He is number 1 because he has been here the longest. Bryant accomplished his wins in 8 seasons. So that stat is pretty meaningless. We are barely above .500 under Stoops and have a .400 conference record under him. I do expect both to improve the longer he stays, but what about that is deserving of a statue? Hell, his biggest win to date is against a decent Iowa team who was sitting out half their players. Again, why would that be worthy of a statue? Volleyball, Track and Field, Rifle, Basketball, and Cheerleading have all won or contended for titles in that same time frame. I wouldn't give their coaches statues either. I would not give Kyra Elzy one for winning the SEC championship either. It's very bush league. Call me when they win multiple championships and are considered among the all-time greats in their respective sports. Then we can talk about statues.
