Stoops lost the fanbase with this game

There is no boycott that will make 44 mil magically appear. Stop with this silliness. This is a business

Your best hope is that stoops chooses to leave or seriously re negotiate the buyout because Mitch will not fire him. He can’t afford it and I don’t think he is considering it anyway. But no matter what happens we will need to still bring in recruits and build a program. I’m sure a half empty stadium and a shit atmosphere will really help with those recruiting visits lol. Yall want to cut your nose off despite your face.

Fan boycott in 2024. Yeah that’ll show em lol. This is NOT a joker situation.
Joker Phillips last season record was 2-10.

What do you think Stoops record will be by the end of the year?
Seriously, based on your own eyes and not your love for CMS, how do you think this season record will play out?

I say we will finish 3-9. I HOPE I am wrong. But HOPE is not a plan.

Oh, and by the way, MB announced the firing of Joker on NOV. 4th, after guess what??? A fans boycott of the Vandy game.

Sometimes the AD has to make a tough decision about cost of lost revenue for keeping a losing coach vs. the cost of negotiating an acceptable buyout for both parties for the future of the program.

CMS is ready to get out of Lexington. He made that clear with the TA&M fiasco last year.

He APPEARS to be trying to get fired so that he can negotiate his way out of UK with a bucket full of cash.

Where do you get that I am a stoops “lover”? I’m as pissed as anyone. I’d love to replace him with a home run. I’m telling you facts about the money and the contract. I’m giving you reasons why an empty stadium will harm the program, not help it.

As far as this not being a joker situation, did joker build the program from scratch? Did he have 2 10 win seasons and 8 straight bowl appearances? He did not. If he did then he would not have gotten fired after that vandy game. If anything I am playing devils advocate. I’m not typically very emotional with sports. Things are what they are and sometimes we just have to accept the things we can’t change.

Accepting mediocrity is not in my DNA.
Have a nice day.

I don't care how UF, LSU or any other traditional football power handles "down" years. The last time we had a lame duck coach, he was promptly fired after two family reunions worth of people showed up to watch us get destroyed by Vanderbilt.

Mitch has a tough decision to make and both he and Stoops have a tendency to get their foot stuck in their mouth (Microwave society and Pony Up). The problem is that UK is the exact opposite of a microwave society when it comes to football and it appears we do pony up considering we pay the head coach top 10 money to beat three cupcakes, UL and teams who don't break .500 in the SEC.

On top of all of that, it's the most boring production in college football. We're the slowest power 5 team in the country, haven't developed an actual QB since Stoops was hired and our running game only looked good when guys like Benny Snell had 5 all world linemen in front of him.

If you don't think we can swing 44 Million after downsizing Calipari and gobbling up all of that SEC money for the past decade, I don't know what to tell you.

Mitch should have pulled the plug on him the moment he took the A&M job, the man is devoid of coaching prowess at this point.
Great points.

We will just have to agree to disagree, but any issue that can be resolved with money is never something that "can't be done."

That is just nonsense.
I agree. It “can” be resolved with money………where we getting that money? I mean on top of that you think that an empty stadium is gonna help with the money issue?

We can disagree and that’s cool. I actually think it’s moot because I don’t think Mitch wants to fire stoops at all. Not even a little and a boycott ar this juncture just makes ky look silly and unserious .

If mitch had more of a spine you fire for cause because of the ncaa violations. What he should do is tell him to take a settlement (thinking 15 to 20 million) or fight the for cause firing in court. Stoops isn't the best coach in the world right now but he isn't stupid and I believe he is still an honorable man.

You also keep getting hung up on attendance like it's 90 percent of our budgeting. TV and SEC deals alone have probably net us a considerable war chest in the past decade and we just saved 4 mill a year to hire Pope. You offer Sumrall the same deal and suddenly we have 8 mill a year to pay a buyout over time or pay attorneys to fight.

This isn't a hopeless situation (well, excluding the fact that Mitch is making the decision).

With the attendance it’s not really about money. We don’t sell enough hot dogs to make a difference. But it’s more about leverage. Leverage as a program. Let’s say we do find ourselves in a coaching search and we will want the best. Do you think we look like an attractive spot to a coach if he looks at our home games and sees a half empty stadium? How will he feel about hearing the word “boycott” against our all time winningest coach? What about recruits? We host recruits at all our home games. Do we look attractive to them with an empty stadium? This is one thing other sec schools have over us big time. They don’t do this “Gameday boycott” nonsense because they are true football powers. Even when it’s really bad they turn out. Because they are football institutions. I implore our fans to not attempt to boycott the games to move the AD at this juncture. The Joker era was different.

See the big picture. We have to do our part to prop up the football program. If we choose to sling more shit at an already shitty team then all we have is a bigger pile of shit for every body to look at.

Buddy, if a coach is afraid to come here because we don't want him losing winnable games with comparable (or better) talent, then I don't want him here either. You're acting like this is the Coach O situation in LSU. Stoops has 3 wins against teams that have finished (or will finish now with Ole Miss) with a record over .500 in the SEC.

He has feasted on a horrible UF/USC/Miss St program while here and coupled that with three patsies and one shell of a former UL program.

Finally, we are not a true football power and our AD will cling to a coach like flies on shit. He was sitting at a press conference with Cal just last March like it was some kind of public therapy session. We have to force him to do something, we do that with our wallets.

Ok. So what do you suggest?
