I almost wonder if this is AI that rearranged the order based on my search history. I do like our helmets. Just struggle putting them over everyone else, especially ole Miss. Also, Arkansas getting short shift.

If you factor out color preferences, it's very difficult to rank SEC helmets. Most of them fall into a few identitical categories. Taking off my blue-tinted glasses, here's my stab, by category:

1) Texas: a simple and appealing silhouette
2) Alabama: the roster numbers have an old-school quality

3-10) Initial Logos: a timeless classic
Kentucky
aTm (the oversized T looks cool against the smaller A&M )
Auburn (the overlayed AU design is cool)
Mizzou (classic color scheme)
Oklahoma (has a throwback quality)
Georgia
Tennessee
Vanderbilt (the drab gold is ugly)

11-13) Mascots:
Arkansas (this could be higher, but it's a little overcomplicated, hard to make out at a distance)
USC (overcomplicated, visually)
LSU (how can that tiger be so ugly?)

14-16) Script:
Bulldogs (corny font)
Gators (corny font)
Rebels (corny font)

I saw the article, UK has a helmet i really like, but the one shown isn't it. I think the chrome with blue mask and blue lettering it the best UK helmet. My leather favorites are the ones with script on them, and of course any with orange.

I just don't get the appeal. Whenever I see the old pics, I pick out 10 better things. The stripes on the sleeves, the helmet, and the pants. The big numbers. Tear away jerseys. Numbers on shoulder pads. The CATS on the front of the helmet

First timer here. I love all the variations of matte helmets we have now. But to me, LSU stands alone at the top, followed by Ole Miss and Florida for the best helmets in conference. Alabama's classic look is awesome, but mostly because of their history. UK doesn't have the history to roll out a plain look like that, they have to have modern elements. The Power K should be an option for the team though.

Longhorn site did this same ranking, take guess who that had at the top. If you said Texas you would be correct. I think it's one of the worst in conference, and old white helmet with a steer head outlined in crap brown.

You seem to be in the minority with this take so I will consider the source and take it with a grain of salt.

I’ve always though LSU led the nation in total uniform, plus helmet.

I have always admired Auburn’s home look.

And I think we rank highly, when we go all Blue, or all Blue with black helmets. Also, those road whites with white or chrome helmets (Citrus Bowl, ‘19, vs.PSU) are catchy and classy all at once.

As to my least favorite, I have always though Ole Miss looks Little League whenever they use that shitty light blue.

Oh, and Mizzou . . . that ugly yellow or whatever they call it . . . it looks poor on players and when their fans wear it, it gets real ugly with the slightest of age . . . like dirty mustard, or the Sh!t of a baby calf with “scours.”

And I have long had my say on UT Orange . . . another color that with the slightest of age and wear is simply disgusting!

I heard unofficially many times (Urban Legend?) that the interlocking U and K nearly replicate between them in white the Nike Swoosh, and that we would never bring back the block K as long as Nike is a program sponsor.
