Stock Advice Thread

Dumped my pile and fed more to 3 potential greyhounds-STNE OGRMF MITK. IIPR eps late Wed, ADBE late Th.
Selloff tomorrow? Whatever, then I think we buy some things on big downward swings.
IIPR eps moved to tomorrow for you cannabis’ stock freaks like me....ADBE late tomorrow, too, for software watchers.

Not selling ACB either after a couple weeks and up 30%. I've maintained this is a long term hold and wish I had more opportunity to buy under $7, but looks like I'll be completing the position higher instead. Hopefully under $9.

Sold PG in my brokerage account at $102 after 19 years of buying and selling it over the years. It had done extremely well in that timeframe. I would buy again lower and I also own it in my IRA after buying last year so I believe in it longer term.

Also sold some CSCO because of the great run. I likely have one more sale to recoup my original investment then I'll let the rest run. Plenty of cash now for that next buying opportunity.

Aurora's over $10/share now. I think it starts to rise long term.

Scott's Miracle Gro (SMG) is a good play. World's leader in hydroponic equipment.

There have been many who have voiced that the marijuana investitures as a whole are outrunning the value of the industry. I expect there to be a significant slow down fairly soon....

What's crazy is that all of this money is being invested and about 3% of the actual process has been started. My goodness.....the US just legalized hemp and the majority of the world hasn't legalized much. This industry is going to go bananas when things actually become legal.

Indeed, so much ahead of us, including the legal issues, drinks and drugs developed and buyouts of companies.

Maybe it's like cryptocurrencies and will roll over in the next downturn and have trouble regaining momentum. The next Gatorade or Excedrin product could literally take a decade or more in the making.

The difference is that there is actual substance here. Cryptocurrency doesn’t have anything backing it up. Marijuana will have plenty of profit amongst a huge array of products. We just don’t know when.

Looks like a futures desk went belly up also. Have people lost interest in crypto?

I think so. But I don’t think hope is lost. A global currency makes sense and will likely happen at some point. But with so many world economies and nothing to back it, how will it work? I think of cryptocurrency as I would any invention. Probably not best to invest in the first model. Let them work the bugs out, then buy in.

One thing to keep an eye on. Most analysts say that although Canada is now primed to be the world leader in production, their infrastructure is severely lacking. The US infrastructure to support the industry is massive. We need to be cognisant of what the US is doing. Leading up to the pending US legalization on the federal level there are going to be US based companies to invest in.

Slowly, but surely, NJ could not muster legalization votes yesterday, but their governor will keep pushing.

Sounds like I should have...
14 to 28 (has dipped back to 25). Knowing AMD it'll spike to 35-40 then crash to 10.

I also mostly swing trade on stocks and trade futures on options

Edit: Obviously I have a retirement account with solid stocks, but swing and options are how I try to max yearly profits.

Sold my PG DRiP yesterday after a 20% gain. I'd only been in for around 14 months. Something told me to let go.

Looking hard at DBD and also checking out KHC.
PG isn't cheap so I sold some but I still have plenty of time and a nice gain also in my IRA.

KHC has not been good for Buffett. I have a tiny position in SJM that has bounced back nicely while a much larger BGS position is terrible. Figures.

December 24th? lol

Nope but my semi's are doing well, AVGO/KLAC. I have a much smaller position in MU now since December thankfully.
Looked up and it was Oct 25th when AMD was at 16 and change. Everything was a good buy on Massacre day lol

Im looking to buy back in if it hits the 15-16 mark. I thought 20-25 was a solid ceiling for this fiscal year. Though I haven't read their earnings report yet, so I will have more info for you on whether to buy back in after that. AMD and NVDA have dropped like rocks and I feel like they should rebound.

Edit: AMD already back up to 20 as of 10am.

Satisfying day all in all. V, CSCO, the semi's and ACB were off to the races. The consumer and housing are looking much much better with lower rates. Goldilocks market. Nobody is wanting to be short going into the weekend.

Good quarter, but S&P beat me, Nasdaq trumped all.

Sure and it will a lot. Most of my retirement money sits in those funds and ETF's. Growth just can't be stopped I guess. Many in the FANG's or other cloud and internet names are making people money. Longest bull run ever!

Hold off on that carwash now gentlemen. A lot of pot talk going...

Kind of reminds of the dot.com boom. For every google, there was probably 10 fart.coms

Mark Cuban may have made money off broadcast.com, but nobody else did.

You’re right, but buying NIKE & PEP isn’t going to even pay for a carwash.
