State of 2025 Recruiting

Dyllon Williams a mizzou safety commit is officially visiting this weekend. Only a 3 star but seems to be a top target for the staff. Was scheduled to visit during the summer but committed to mizzou before making the trip. Could be a repeat of the Cam Dooley situation last year. Maybe Buffano can do something for us

"Only a 3 star" but is typically underrated by the "experts.". Look at his film, the guy hits a ton, plays angry.

That’s nice that he hits good but we really need some safeties who can cover. Been a reoccurring problem. I’m not knocking this kid as a prospect. I have no idea how he will turn out. Martels Carter gives this safety class a high floor anyway

BTTT.

Jayden Clark a 6’ 5” 260 pound OL prospect from Clayton, Ohio is our 18th commitment for 2025. He is graded by Rivals as a 5.6 Three Star prospect.

This lifts our 2025 Class to a current ranking of 27th on the Rivals system. Of the 26 classes ranked above UK’s, 21 have more commitments.

Saw elsewhere that since he missed last year with an injury that if he successfully completes this year he'll be reevaluated and probably bumped up. BTW, to me on film he looks bigger than 260 but weight is good weight. FWIW.

I just read on another site that Nicolas Smith, our Georgia DL commitment, has picked up an offer from Alabama.

Oddly, he is rated among the lowest of our commitments, but I suspect he’ll crack the top 1,000, now.

It’ll be interesting to see if we can hold onto him!!

He's also up to 295 lbs now.

They interviewed him after that offer and he said he was NOT visiting AL. He said that UK gave him a chance and he was not going to break his promise to us. All UK now.

Any word on DJ Miller the WR prospect or any other WR prospects?
He hasn’t been mentioned in a while. There was another WR they mentioned lately that UK offered.

In another note our top CB recruit Dwayne Galloway has decommitted from Purdue. UK didn’t imitate the decommittment but has already been in contact with him. Penn St, WVU, Illinois, and a few others have already been in contact according to a tweet I seen

In a related vein, TOS posted an article that the DB committed to UK from Paducah continues to be recruited hard by Auburn. Any chance these might be related?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Hack. I know he’s one of the lower rated kids committed so far, but from the first time I watched his film, he became my favorite recruit. Something about the kid screams superstar to me and he has a ton of potential to get better and better. I think with our coaching staff the sky is the limit for him if his head and heart are serious about football. He sure plays like he loves the game and has the body to put on or even take off any amount of weight he needs to play all over the field. I really want to hold on to him and I can’t believe he’s not in the top 300 range right now. Looks like a top 100 prospect to me in my opinion.

That's how I feel about Javeon Campbell, the guy has unlimited potential. And don't forget Brian Robinson lurking too. And Gadson, Gilbert, Saunders, Jerod Smith and Zeismer. Love what they're doing building a DL to replace the DL UK's losing.

I have no idea how good we are in with Mikkel Skinner, but he had kind words for Marrow after his visit.

He is reportedly announcing the 22nd, on TOS's Youtube channel.

Mikkel Skinner committed to UK last night and threw a South Carolina hat for good measure. He said his recruitment is shut down and will early enroll. He keeps rising in the rankings and is up to a top 200 player on 247. I'd expect a bump on rivals soon. Will likely be our only TE in this class. I'm a huge fan of this pickup!

That’s a big commitment.

We are now 20th on Rival’s point system
for our 21 recruits, and 21st for average Star rating.

Stoops and company are rolling along in what they have done most consistently: heightening Kentucky’s football recruiting profile.

Now we need wins to hold onto both the staff and recruits!

The problem with being 20th in recruiting is 10 schools ahead of us are in SEC . Mizzou has outrecruited us 2 years now, how does that happen

Mizzou has been a better team the last two years. They also have a larger Metro area in state that produces a lot of players. Proximity to Texas does not hurt either.

The difference in 10-25 in recruiting rankings is damn near nothing and based on what analysts think which is sometimes WAY off.

Agree. It's the development & coaching that separates those teams.

Although I don't expect the first 2025 commitment for a while, I will go ahead and start this new thread now. I see that we are discussing 2025 prospects on the 2024 thread, so we need a 2025 thread to accommodate the growing volume of 2025 discussions.

Here are instate 2025 prospects already reported to hold UK offers. All four are being recruited by Coach Marrow although Coach Coen has also gotten involved with Boley.

Cutter Boley, QB, LCA, Lexington
Brock Driver, RB, Boyle Co. hs, Danville
Montavin Quisenberry, ATH, Boyle Co. hs, Danville
Makhi Smith, ATH, Woodford Co. hs, Versailles

Boley is the big headliner here, although Driver is also a nice looking prospect.

Here are some 2025 out of state prospects reported to hold UK offers. This is not intended to be an all inclusive list, and I am not predicting where any of these players will actually sign two winters from now.

Jon Adair, OL, Nashville, TN
Sam Afari, DB, W. Chester, OH (Alex's brother)
John Baker, WR, Detroit, MI
Wyatt Becker, QB, Chatsworth, CA
Preston Bowman, WR, Pickerington, OH

Brandon Caesar, DL, Cleveland, OH
Marquise Davis, RB, Cleveland, OH
Alonzo Esparza, QB, Chatsworth, CA
Jakaleb Faulk, LB, Highland Home, AL
Zy'Aire Fletcher, LB, Springfield, OH
Noah Francis, DB, Bradenton, FL
Ryan Ghea, TE, Alpharetta, GA
Luka Gilbert, LB/TE, W. Chester, OH
Chauncey Gooden, OL, Nashville, TN
Bowen Gossett, OL, Ironton, OH
Tarrion Grant, DB, Murfreesboro, TN
Rafael Greene, OL, Cincinnati, OH
Caleb Harris, OL, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Jackson Heims, LB, Springfield, OH
Justin Hill, LB, Cincinnati, OH
Eugene Hilton, WR, Zionsville, IN
Bo Jackson, ATH, Cleveland, OH
Naim Jackson, DL, Cincinnati, OH
Sandale Jackson, OL, Cleveland, OH
Napoleon Jemison, LB, Toledo, OH
CJ Jimcoily, ATH, Nashville, TN
Zion Johnson, RB, Covington, GA
Peyton Joseph, OL, Ft. Valley, GA
Tucker Kattus, OL, Cincinnati, OH (Josh's brother)
Robert Lee, DB, Kissimmee, FL
Shiren Mabry, ATH, Columbus, OH
Ezekiel Marcelin, DB, Miami, FL
Dante McClellan, ATH, Canton, OH
London Merritt, LB, Atlanta, GA
Ryan Montgomery, QB, Findlay, OH
Kamauryn Morgan, DL, Red Oak, TX
Paul Nelson, LB, Cincinnati, OH
Eli Owens, LB, Alcoa, TN
Emile Picarella, QB, Madison, MS
Caden Piening, LB, Cincinnati, OH
Quincy Porter, ATH, Oradell, NJ
Ethan Pritchard, LB, Sanford, FL
Kendarius Reddick, ATH, Thomasville, GA
Martin Rhyne, LB, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Anthony Sacca, LB, Philadelphia, PA

Cashus Shivers, ATH, Detroit, MI
Stephon Shivers, DL, Humboldt, TN
Quinton Simmons, WR, Cincinnati, OH
Kaylib Singleton, DB, Orange Park, FL
Kahlil Stewart, OL/DL, Philadelphia, PA

Jackson Wiley, ATH, Lewis Center, OH
Amaree Williams, LB, Palm Beach, FL
Emaree Winston, TE, Calhoun, GA
Dylon Worthen, LB, Bradenton, FL
Ameer Yasin, OL, Tallmadge, OH

Let's not worry yet about whether 2025 will be a strong or weak instate recruiting class. We are nearly two full years away from the 2025 signing dates, so it is just too early to pass judgment.

But as a side note, take a good look at the number of prospects coming out of the Cincinnati area (including W. Chester) on this list. It is not difficult to see why Coach Marrow spends more time recruiting in Cincinnati than in Louisville.

No secret that Liam Cohen will be looking at QBs for this class. So, no coincidence that a lot of QBs are on the above list. Cutter Boley is the local favorite, and Coach Coen will probably make a big run at him. But if you are looking for an out of state QB with major cred who is already showing strong interest in UK, look no farther than Ryan Montgomery out of Findlay, OH. The gossip is that Montgomery and Coen have hit it off. I guess we will see.
Hope you’re doing okay dude .

Thank you. It took some time and discomfort, but I am well enough now to enjoy the holidays. It has been a journey.
This past May I was in the hospital for 18 days because of a surgeons “mistake” . Wasn’t sure if I was going to make it. Glad you’re doing better.

My surgeon saved my life. But I had all the wrong complications. In the end, I was lucky to get through them. But I can't cry over spilled milk. I get over it and move on. The only path now is forward.
