State of 2022 Recruiting

That may be true, but no one looks like a billboard for the side effects of PEDs than CUs players, they recently had multiple players fail the test for PEDs. Of course Dabo blamed it on their hair conditioner or some such silly BS.
Well if players at other school are even actually passing tests, it’s not because they’re all natural. It’s likely the failed tests aren’t reported or players are tipped off when a test might come. It’s the game within the game of all major sports. I’d wager very few starters at the P5 level are truly natural, certainly not at the Clemson/Alabama tier or the Georgia/OU tier.

Id be stunned if he committed. Both he and his dad were on the radio last week and basically started they are just getting started in the recruiting process with visits starting back. Sounds like it will be sometime during his high school season at the earliest. Unless, things change of course, and in recruiting, that is always a possibility.
They said he is still visiting Oregon and South Carolina the next couple of weeks

Grumpy, Where do the Dawgs stand with Stantavious Smith? Looks like a pretty good prospect; camped at UK last weekend, and was impressed!
Thanks

I cant tell you for sure where the Dawgs stant with him, but going by the type player we normally recruit he doesnt have the length we normally recruit. That doesnt mean he isnt a player, just that we normally recruit 6'3"+ guys for that position. His name has come up on our board, FSU is involved pretty heavy but they arent the draw they were 10 years ago. But doesnt look like UGA is involved very deep right now.

It appears FSU’s staff evaluates now better than the last to what they are needing. Time will tell, but I suspect FSU will be a compelling destination with Norvell.

That is speculation on your part, maybe it's true maybe it isn't. Clemson having 3 players test positive and missing the NC playoffs because they tested positive for banned substances is a fact, it happened and Dabo blamed it on some of their personal products, hand lotion or hair care product.

FSU has always been a place south Georgia kids look hard at because of location, much closer to Albany than Athens. Then there is Florida A&M with its high percentage of female students is literally across the street. But a strong FSU weakens UF, so losing kids to them isn't all bad.

247 says he is 6'3

And on June 10th he got a bump from 23rd ranked player to the 10th ranked player in Ohio, by Rivals.
UK is still in good shape, but it will prob all come down to whether OSU offers him in a couple weeks. They're bringing him in mid-week for a workout. His words were he was working the hardest he ever had to get ready. If they offer it could change everything with his recruitment

He just worked out for them earlier this week. No offer came...yet anyway. Did you see somewhere that he is supposed to work out again? He is about six weeks out from making a decision.

Sorry I knew the OSU workout was close but didn't know the date. Just read it happened and they didn't offer yet just like you said. KSR quoted him saying he was still awaiting their offer, but was deciding in July

No problem, just making sure I didn't miss something.

Was Deone Walker on an unofficial visit?
He was but barring a minor miracle, he isn't coming to Kentucky. They are not one of his top schools right now. Will be pretty surprising if he doesn't end up at Michigan.

Not how PEDs work. They stay in your system for a weed while and it differs with individuals. Some it takes weeks to get out of their system, so you cant find out test will be Friday on Monday and be sure. You ever notice how some teams look bigger and faster than everyone, yet come combine time their players test slower and weaker than average? Combine es are doind real testing CFP is too and Clemson had some guys who didnt cy le off in time and got caught. It's clear they are into it big time and Dabo acts lost and blamed it on their personal care products.

Looks like Andre Stewart visited UT this weekend. What are the chances UK can keep him committed?

I hate Dabo but sorry it’s prevalent in all programs. CFP may have more stringent testing than what goes on in regular season but that does not mean everyone playing is natural. There are ways to beat the tests, for better or worse. Hell, look at the UFC. Their testing is administered by USADA, the standard in anti-doping, and there are still men and women who are clearly juiced to the gills stepping in the octagon. I wish it could be reliably stopped but it can’t.

Why do I think it’s not over?
Grumpy what say you?

Earlier in the spring when he was originally going to announce, and it was for UGA at the time a delay usually wasnt good for the leader, and USC was a real player for him. OSU, Bama, nor Clemson had backed off of him, UGA would have taken his commitment but wanted him to official in the fall. He is a good player, hate to lose him. I think our staff have know for awhile because they have been after a couple other guys hard the last month.

He says he is done with the process, but who knows. Dont be surprised if another follows him soon.

He's not committing until he sees some passes consistently over multiple games.

Wiltfong logged a Michigan crystal ball for him today.
Michigan had been leading for pollard. Now possibly D'arco. Caldwell has already been on campus since clink got there and took down is commitment link to UK. UK most likely are out on these 3. Stewart is taking visits. Had an unofficial to UT last week and said he was def going back according to a report. UK should hang on to the other 2 DB commits but the other commits and top targets at DB are not looking as good. Crazy how fast things can change

Like I said, if it is as prevalent as you are claiming there would be more failures. Other than Clemson, who has had players forced to mis sc games because of PEDs? The list is very short, and doesnt back up what you are claiming.
