Subject: From John's Hopkins Hospital - great explanation! Worth the time

From John's Hopkins Hospital

This virus is not a living organism. It is a protein molecule (RNA or DNA) covered by a protective layer of lipid (fat), which, when absorbed by the cells of the ocular (eyes), nasal (nose) or buccal mucosa (mouth), changes their genetic code (mutates) and converts into aggressor and multiplier cells.

* Since the virus is not a living organism, but is a protein molecule, it cannot be killed. It has to decay on its own. The disintegration time depends on the temperature, humidity and type of material where it lies.

* The virus is very fragile; the only thing that protects it is a thin outer layer of fat and that is the reason why soap or detergent is the best weapon. The foam CUTS THE FAT (that is why you have to scrub for 20 seconds or more, to create lots of foam). By dissolving the fat layer, the protein molecule disperses and breaks down.

* HEAT melts fat; this is why it is necessary to use water above 77 degrees for hand washing, laundry and cleaning surfaces. In addition, hot water makes more foam, making it more effective.

* Alcohol or any mixture with alcohol over 65% DISSOLVES ALL FAT, especially the external lipid layer of the virus.

* Any solution with 1 part bleach and 5 parts water directly dissolves the protein, breaking it down from the inside.

* Oxygenated water increases the effectiveness of soap, alcohol and chlorine, because peroxide dissolves the virus protein. However, because you have to use it in its pure form, it can damage your skin.

* NO BACTERICIDE OR ANTIBIOTIC WILL WORK because the virus is not a living organism like bacteria; antibodies cannot kill what is not alive.

* The virus molecules remain very stable at colder temperatures, including air conditioning in houses and cars. They also need moisture and darkness to stay stable. Therefore, dehumidified, dry, warm and bright environments will degrade the virus faster.

* UV LIGHT on any object that may contain the virus breaks down the protein. Be careful, it also breaks down collagen (which is protein) in the skin.

* The virus CANNOT go through healthy skin.

* Vinegar is NOT useful because it does not break down the protective layer of fat.

* NO SPIRITS, NOR VODKA, serve. The strongest vodka is only 40% alcohol, and you need a minimum of 65%.

* LISTERINE is 65% alcohol.

* The more confined the space, the higher the concentration of the virus there can be. The more open or naturally ventilated, the less.

* You have to wash your hands before and after touching any commonly used surfaces such as : mucosa (mouth area) , food, locks, knobs, switches, remotes, cell phones, watches, computers, desks etc. and don’t forget when you use the bathroom.

* You have to MOISTURIZE YOUR HANDS due to frequent washing. Dry hands have cracks and the molecules can hide in the micro cracks The thicker the moisturizer, the better.

* Also keep your NAILS SHORT so that the virus does not hide there.

Wife had Covid never had a high fever. 10 days in was a very scary day almost took her to emergency room very labored breathing. Started getting better 3 1/2 months later still has weakness and shortness of breath. In some people this can be very serious. I know a 40 year old in great health that just spent 7 days in ICU at UK. Just got released 2 days ago said that was the first day he didn’t think he was going to die. Another 40 year old got it stayed home never felt bad. It is a strange bug hope it passes. Thanks for the article interesting read.

I appreciate the information. I knew all of it except the % alcohol required to break down the collagen. Always good to have good knowledge upon which to base one's decisions and actions. The virus isn't going away, though it may mutate and eventually become less threatening, in part, due to possible herd immunity. Regardless, we as individuals have the most ability and the responsibility to best protect ourselves through our individual behavior. Thanks.

Double check before mixing bleach/Water to a 1 to 5 ratio, Clorox and other sites (CDC included) recommend a disinfectant solution of 1/3 cup (5 tablespoons) of Clorox to 1 gallon of water or a smaller but slightly stronger batch of 2 teaspoons Clorox and 16 oz of water. BTW 5 tablespoons equals 1/3 cup or 15 teaspoons. A, 1 to 5 ratio is a little overkill to me. I use 1 tablespoon Clorox 3 teaspoons, to 16 oz of water, yeah that's a little overkill also, but easier to measure out. But please google for yourselves. "Homemade Disinfectant"
  • To make a bleach solution, mix:
    • 5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of room temperature water
OR

  • 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of room temperature water
  • Bleach solutions will be effective for disinfection up to 24 hours.
  • Alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol may also be used.

It also cannot survive UV light, such as sunlight. Thought that was pertinent given the issue as it relates to football.

Thanks DNC. Strange I was with her drank out of her drink but never got it. I came in from outside when she was sick felt a little hot . Took my temp it was up just a little. I was like oh woe is me but I guess I was just hot. Hope all of Rafters stay safe!!

Situations like this tell us they really don't know how the virus spreads. Because by all accounts - you shouldve definitely had it.

There are a million viruses. There are some by which we all may be harshly affected, and some by which all who are unhealthy are affected. Some may affect no one until they mutate and find a potential host population with depressed immune systems.

Let's talk about depressed immune systems and what can cause them-

-The death of a loved one
-Divorce (both of these first 2 cause physically measurable depletion of the immune system)
-Job loss
-Financial hardship
-Pesticides
-Ending a course of antibiotics or other gut-bacteria depleting treatments like chemo or radiation treatments
-Too much refined white sugar and refined white flour
-Not enough raw foods
-Not enough sleep (should be higher on the list)
-Not enough sunlight
-Not enough fresh air
-Not enough exercise
-Not enough human and/or animal contact
-Overly processed foods
-Not enough clean water
-Lack of key minerals and/or vitamins
-Poor posture/alignment
-Allergies
-Environmental chemicals like petroleum based areosols/exhaust, rubber, composite wood, glue, synthetic fiber treatments, and paint off gassing
-Synthetic and/or chemical cleaning agents
-Environmental fungi
-Heavy metals
-Environmental radiation
-Abuse, whether mental, emotional, spiritual, or physical
-Lack of play and/or other creative outlets
-Too much screen time
-Negative thoughts, environments, news, and stories
-Fear/Panic
-Post-Traumatic stress
-Despair, loss of hope, feeling a lack of basic control
-Simultaneous flareups of other pre-existing conditions
-Hormones and steroids

(These are in no particular order.)

The flu can be deadly if one or two of some of these issues are present. The more that ARE present the more deadly a bacteria or a virus can be to that person. Most people took on at least 3 of these issues in the first month after a nursing home in WA killed 16 of their patients by not quarantining them at all. That's without adding any pre-existing conditions or dietary deficiences.

By the 2nd month most probably added at least 2 more (up to 5) from that list, and some are looking at adding still more as what they had come to consider their 'life' and environment appear to be drastically changing for the perceivable 'worse.'

At the end of this, and with their immune systems still depressed, some will opt to push some of these very same carcinogenic materials directly into their bloodstream, including the virus or parts of the virus itself. Just like they did before and during the Spanish "Flu" epidemic.

Just accept that it will happen and that you'll get it. Do your best not to get it and live as healthy as you can in the meantime, trying to eliminate the things on the list that you can eliminate. Fear can only be beaten with acceptance. Beating fear and panic means hope has a place to take root.

Know that there are vitamins and medicines that can help you live through an aggressive infection and find out what they are. Ask for them if you get sick.

I hope you all stay healthy and aren't direly affected by the virus or the remediation plan

Life is very fragile. Always has been, always will be. It doesn't require much to take us out of this world sometimes. I'll take what precautions I can to avoid catching a virus....any virus. But I'm not going to panic and become unhinged over something I can't control. I can take all the recommended precautions and still end up with COVID-19. At that point, my outcome is determined by a number of things and it could turn out good. Or it could turn out bad. Sometimes we humans can become a bit arrogant and think that because we can do so many wonderful things that other forms of life cannot, that we are somehow in control. We aren't. We're just passengers on this rock just like everything else. The sooner we admit and accept that we are fragile, vulnerable creatures, the better off we'll be...both emotionally and mentally.

Very thoughtfull post. I am not terrified of this Covid but I do take precautions. Much like driving my car I do buckle up. Will it keep me from dying I hope so. I hope at least it increases my odds. Years ago I almost never wore my belt. Maybe I am trained more now! Lol
