i wish i could unread that. i mean it's one thing to be naive and overly optimistic but they are gonna struggle to be an 8 to 12 seed. they do not match up well with us at all. they can only hope to ugly our game up and keep it close and hit a few shots down the stretch. if the refs don't absolutely baby them we are gonna win by 15+. they do not have 1 guy that would play for us... we have guys who won't play for us that would start for them. geeze.wow. is this optimism or total delusion?:

NewIm sure everyone is like me and is happy to start the season and leave the offseason nonsense behind us. What do you all predict will occur this year?
Looking at the schedule it's hard to find a bunch of losses.
-Michigan St. will be tough on the road but they are still waiting on a player to get eligible. That one is a tossup.
-I'd call the sUcKs game a lock if it was at home. I still think we have a significant advantage inside and that our experience will carry us but you never know in that arena if you'll be playing 5 on 5 or 5 on 8. I'll call it a win for now.
The ACC will be a grind though.
-NC st. on the road. Maybe im just a pessimist but I think we go down in that matchup. Tough place to play and I think they are being overlooked.
-I think we split with both UVA and Duke. 2 very good matchups.
-At Notre Dame is another tossup.
-UNC is a tossup too. Thats a very good team there. I think the best in the country but I think there will be a lot of distractions for that team this year. I think this is the year where the academic scandal finally catches up to them.
So that leaves us 27-4 or 26-5 at the end of the regular season. Good enough for a top 2 seed and a deep run going to come in the tourney. Damion Lee will be a ACC POY candidate. Mangok is my breakthrough guy.

He might want to pontoon after hurricane Katina.I'd bet they don't even know the answer to your question. With 8 NBA players, I hear he may try to platoon.

Maybe but you sure don't here Cal telling guys that. Hard to take anything he says seriously when he misuses superlatives all the time.
Obviously the season has to play out so it remains to be seen but Rick is working with these guys every day and we are not so we have to take his word for it as of now. He's already said that Damien Lee is a better version of Ron Mercer and that we have 8 NBA players on our roster. If all of that is true, then yes, this will quite possibly be the best team he's coached in 40 years.Rick Pitino Says Current Louisville Team Is Better Than 1996 Kentucky

Louisville’s Trey Lewis said at ACC Media Days earlier this morning that Rick Pitino says this is the best team he’s coached in 40 years.
Keep in mind that Pitino coached the 1996 Kentucky Wildcats…which many consider to be the best college basketball team of all time.
What about his Louisville national championship team? Or the great team he had at Providence College?
Is this the best team Pitino has coached in the last 2 years?

Gotta be.Okay, I'm sold... Petjurino is a UK fan trolling us all.
He already identified mid major transfer Damien Lee as a better version of Mercer. No, I'm not joking.I just want to know who is this year's "greatest player he's coached since Mashburn". There has to be one. I'm going to guess Mancok or Anus.

Remember the Siva is better than Wall idiots over there. LOL.[/QUOTE
No, I don't. Yet, you weren't here then, so please explain.
I think it's quite obvious myself, and I find it very funny.Gotta be.
There is a guy who really wants to argue some issue regarding Anderson's97 injury. It's like mebocat or bubucat. Point is, if you say sitting Anderson led to the title loss, he'll argue that the 98 team had more talent. You don't have to mention the 98 team, he just wants to fight about it. Anyway, good luck not finding him. He'll accuse you of running away even if you never have a dialogue.I can't help but remember the Rick Pitino that benched Derek Anderson for the 1997 championship game even though he'd been cleared to play. That was a man of character that cared more about Anderson's future than winning another championship. It is sad to see what has happened to the man.
Trey Lewis: "Coach Pitino says this is the best team he's coached in 40 years. You guys don't see how we battle everyday."
I'm not even kidding, I am somewhat starting to feel bad for this guy. He is clearly losing/lost it.
I think it was Siva was faster than Wall, but after HookerGate ,I believe they were talking about time in the saddle.Remember the Siva is better than Wall idiots over there. LOL.
