Season Ticket Holders?

Stoops gets 2.5 million dollar raise for being a laughing stock of the league...guess we STH will get stiffed with higher ticket prices. I'm close to being done for me and my family . I'd hate it, but I'm on the brink. Sixth highest paid coach in the country, for what?
I understand you are frustrated and it’s been a disappointing season, but to call stoops the laughing stock of the league is simply not true. I’m as aggravated as anyone but the fact is Stoops is actually one of the most respected coaches in our league because of what he has done at UK and that’s because contrary to popular belief here, winning at all on a consistent basis at UK has never been easy or common. This year which is a disappointment was viewed as a solid season before Stoops arrived so I really feel like our fans need some historical perspective here

Not a laughing stock? Tell me another school in the SEC and maybe the country, that would pay this kid of fools gold money for these results? I have a historical perspective...35+ years of it.

Then you should realize the long list of accomplishments stoops has at UK and aim that remark at the university itself or the AD. My point was that stoops, himself, is not a laughing stock in the coaching profession and that he’s well respected. If you think the school gave him the extension in a year that he didn’t earn it, I’m with you, but that’s not what you originally said.

No really.. he/we are the laughing stock of college football. Other SEC schools are thrilled at his contract now cause they know their dominance over us isn’t gonna end anytime soon. Get off the UK sites for a while and see what others around the country have to say about it. It’s totally ridiculous what Mitch is doing for likely one of the three worst coaches in the SEC.

If you think UK football matters that much to anyone besides us than you are proving my point entirely. That’s why they are laughing. This year sucks but UK football hasn’t been relevant in at least 40 years before stoops, not really. Brooks won a few games but never really got anything other than a step above Vandy in respect. The last time UK had any national respect was in the late 70s early 80s and we have that now because of Stoops. I get that 7 games wouldn’t get a raise at the majority of schools but we aren’t at the majority of their levels. We are not a football school, we are trying to become one and stay there which stoops has opened that possibility. But we are a fan base that thinks winning 7 games in a season is a fireable offense. Do you know how many 7 win seasons UK has since 1950? (73 seasons) ??? If we beat Louisville next week, it will raise the total to 19 and Stoops will own 6 of them.

7 straight bowl games 2 10 win seasons passed Bear Bryant as all time winningest Coach ain’t chicken poop
I have been A season ticket holder since 1972 until Stoops saw a lot of losses like to
Be Alabama but we aren’t
Nobody makes anyone buy tickets
This, I've been going to game since I was a kid in the 70's, got my own season tickets in '93 right after I graduated. Needless to say, I've sat through some paltry ass football. The success of the past few years has really spoiled some folks. and no that doesn't mean I'm content. I go into every game thinking somehow we might have it in us to pull it off and hate losing as much as anyone, but I know where we've been, and as bad as this season's gone, we aren't near as bad as a lot of what I've sat through over the years. I'll continue to buy my season tickets and will continue to think that next year will be the year. We've come pretty darn close a couple of times here in the past few years, there's no reason to think brighter days aren't ahead. That's what being a fan is all about. stick with them through good and bad, through thick and thin. yell, scream, complain, call for staff changes, whatever, that's called being a fan. Throwing up your hands and saying "I'm done" is called being a quitter.

What would it say to any coach you would try to convince to come here if you fired a guy who just became the winningest coach in your programs history and set all kinds of program records in the process, took you to seven straight Bowl games, won four of those in a row, yet had an unexpected down year, where you still won at least 6 games and hopefully still counting. Who do you think will ever come here after we did that?

I agree, I too made that point in an earlier post.
