Probably talk about how to continue his education on UK's dime, maybe get some tips on how Shady Sharpe was able to hide out on campus.
Will they discuss how much 1 for 15 shooting is worth in NIL $$$?
To be honest, I hope he tells Cal he’s ready to move on.

So Cal will be convincing a kid who chose this culture and cared about winning, and understood what it meant to play for Kentucky, and how rewarding it can be, to come back to the same program that offers all of that?
I wonder if Ware, Fredrick, Livingston, Collins, and Wheeler also understood those same things?
Not me. It's going to get brutal next year without any significant veterans. It will probably be brutal anyway, but Reeves could mitigate the hemorrhaging by helping us win an extra 5 or 6 games.
It's hard to have faith that Cal can do anything at this point.

Shouldn't a coach and his players talk fairly regularly so that they shouldn't have to schedule some big meeting like they haven't spoken in months?
I get why he did intially but the process should have been over 2 weeks ago. Kentucky should of locked him up

1. It was always dumb for UK to wait on his NBA process (he's never had one)
2. But once it was obvious NBA was not going to happen....it's I want to come back to UK or I don't like playing for UK. What else is there to discuss? The roster at his spot we've all known for months....there is no new information.

Not like Reeves will be locked in if he comes back. He can go to school this summer and graduate, take advantage of facilities and trainers and tell UK to kiss his ass come August.
I would agree with this if Cal had a solid back up plan. I’ll be the first to let you know he does not so we need Reeves back.

It all comes down to Cal. Cal is the reason Reeves is considering going elsewhere because Cal has NEVER thought Reeves was anything more than a 3 pt threat off the bench. Cal was FORCED into putting the ball in his hands much MORE than he wanted because of the injuries. The 1-15 performance has made it worse, even though he scored 37 at Arky when we REALLY needed a win, Cal STILL doubts his ability to make shots when needed.
Now that Cal has went 0'FER in the portal trying to find another shooter, he is trying to convince Reeves to return as a 6th man. Reeves KNOWS that the Freshmen are going to have the ball in their hands WAY MORE than he is next season. If he can get a NIL deal even comparable to what he received here last season, IMHO, he's GONE.
Scored 37 in a game and was one of the main reasons they went in that winning streak to save the season and go to the tourney but Nawh we don’t need him. Of course Kentucky needs him

I still believe Reeves is an integral piece if we want to do anything next year. You can always use veteran guards/wings who can hit shots. It opens up the floor for everyone else.

We went from John Wall/Anthony Davis/Karl-Anthony Towns…to fretting if an Illinois State transfer who went 1-14 in an NCAA Tournament loss is returning.

We already have the best freshman possible in the class. Getting talent isn’t the issue
Cal gonna tell Reeves that he evidently isn’t NBA material so the main focus next season is playing the freshmen a lot and getting them drafted.

He was very good on the drive later in the year too. With 2 guards who can get by anyone in the country he'd be able to get more open looks and driving lanes after defenders rotate to cover DJ and Rob.
I think we had a lot of tension between teammates on the roster last year which may be why everyone bailed. Not sure who to point fingers at but if I was guessing Wheeler/Oscar/Livingston all seemed frustrated all season. But Reeves will get plenty of time even if he doesn't start he should play 25-28 minutes and if you can get that at UK and a decent NIL it must be something else bothering him.
Honestly, I'd rather Cal move on and Reeves stay.
To be fair he may be asking Cal if the intention is to stick him in a corner while the super frosh play dribble mania in the paint.
It's just bad that the coaching staff can't replace him with a better player. Not hard to do, he's a dime of dozen player. He wasn't even known until he played at Kentucky and this is the thanks Cal gets. Cal has picked bad players over the last 4 years.

Cool, you picked out a single game. Now do the same for the game before against Providence. There would have been no 1 for 15 game without Reeves 22 points in the game before. Play the blame game as much as you want but I’ll take as many 40% three point shooters as we can sign.
