Man I totally forgot about @ Miss State and @ LSU.
There is ZERO chance we make the tournament- holy shit.
Doubtful we lose to Gonzaga and Ole Miss. Those should be winnable games for us. Neither is very good, particularly on the road. Bama will be a toss-up. The others will likely be losses.
UK could easily lose 5 of their remaining 10 games. At UT, @ Aub, Miss, Alabama and @ MSU. And that’s assuming Gonzaga is a win. That would put the record at 20-11. More likely going to be 21-10 or 22-9 heading into the SEC tourney and a 7-9 seed. Very much of a disappointment from the beginning of the year.
I thought the same about Florida and UNC-Wilmington.
I think UK gets to 20 wins, but I also think they may well have double-digit losses by the Tournament. I'm assuming UK makes the tournament, but is it really a slam dunk?
Are you really arguing we make the tourny? We are Kentucky....we should be arguing #1 seed.

Mitchell has been lazy for a while. I don't remember who broke down a film of games in December, but they said if ky doesn't get things fixed,it would get ugly. Tre showed up a lot in defensive breakdowns. I understand freshman struggling. But a SR is a different story.
Sad thing is a lot of it is effort on his end. He literally watched them get offensive put backs layups ECT. Cal needs to give his minutes to someone who will fight!
Cal may be the reason for this teams problems but it’s not in coaching. It the assemblage of this group. These players simply don’t play defense, never have and unlikely to be great in the future. They will go pro and have a few years to learn some defense, not a few months.
Here it is in a nutshell. I had ZERO faith that we’d win this game. ZERO. That’s a problem. At any given time you should feel confident that “your” team should win. I haven’t felt that since 2015. It’s embarrassing…to the point of not wanting to watch any longer. Cue the Curly Bill meme..but I’m willing to bet I’m not the only one.
This is about as accurate as a summarizing post can be. It is truthfully as simple as this. We are UK not UCal. Time for everyone involved to remember that.
Making the tournament is supposed a foregone conclusion at UK. Winning at Rupp was usually a foregone conclusion.
With this head coach, the continuous decline of the program speeds ahead. He's a complete joke.

Are you confident they win another game this year with the chaos going on? It's not the on court stuff that is rancid BTW--it's poison off the court. That carries over no matter how well you want to play.

You're plugged in. So what's the deal. This team started out so well and now it's a train wreck. I was pretty big cal supporter but I can't handle anymore drama. I can't do it.
These m’fers hung 103 on us….we’re far from a tournament team. I can see it…anyone else with with a smidge of sensibility can see it. Our D is going to keep us out of the tournament
Chaos. It's nothing that teams don't deal with time to time but it's become the NORM in Lexington and it's tired, draining, and Cal doesn't have guys buying in/fighting for his way of wanting to play. Some is jealousy. Some is panic-due to not playing to the level they wanted, fearing losing stock, etc..
"Free Big Z" was cute until he came in and showed he could really hoop--and then some people got in their feelings. It was quite obvious that if this ends as it's trending-the final 10 minutes of a game Kentucky was up nearly 30 and had 90 pts will be the moment you can signal as end of the Cal era. How ****ed up is that?
Saying we make the tournament with such conviction tells me you don’t watch other teams play. We could easily finish .500 in the SEC and that is not a tournament team. People write off LSU and Ole Miss as easy wins. Trust me, they won’t be.
15-6 right now ... with likely losses coming to Auburn, Alabama, MIss. State and Tennessee ... that is 10 losses (and 11th coming to someone in the SEC Tournament). Looking at a 9-10 seed with that resume (and only 2 quad 1 wins).
Why is Kentucky a certain lock for the tourney? They have one win that matters. They have a bad loss, and they have 3 home losses. Kentucky is nowhere near a lock for the tourney
No kidding. I was so giddy during that Georgia game. I thought we were about to be back to pre 2017 years. Then the wheels have fallen off. Now we are right back in the middle of drama town and right back in the will he play or not. I'm just sick of it. I've supported cal but my patience is wearing extremely thin.
He should have let Bradshaw go to usc and let Edwards go to wherever he wanted. Go find a pure shot blocker in the portal or hell bring Oscar back, I know he was different but atleast he rebounds and gave effort for the most part.
Mine was thin 2, 3, maybe longer. He’s ruined our program to the degree that our “home court” advantage is now as lackluster as being in a low rent b-ball league or church league. We get walked BY THE SAME THING each week. What do we do to answer it????? NOTHING
Bradshaw never told him he was going there or wanted out-but he needs to play Z. He was the contingency-he got him and guy is talented. Why is he not playing?
Edwards actually hasn't been a malcontent. He just has struggled. Has a lot of pressure he's carrying and just didn't play well. He's not been an issue other than just not playing well.
Kel'el Ware is who I'd have liked but with Ugo/Bradshaw I get it but Bradshaw's last good game was UNC. He had a stretch against UF in Gainesville and has gotten punk'd in SEC play.
It's just time to move on if we're all being honest. We'll see how Cal likes things when the entire fanbase is against him. Ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun. Can't create rumors to save job or gain support.
What's scary is I don't want Barnhart making the next Coaching decision whatsoever.

They are all good kids, but both Bradshaw and Edwards being duds hurts Kentucky so much. Also cal refusing to mix defenses up when things are going bad is extremely annoying. I’ve watched this team every game and the sad part is when the game gets a little physical and somebody punches them in the mouth they buckle under pressure and only start fighting back when it’s far to late. I don’t trust Barnhart at all either

He'd be up there for me as well. He'd actually keep most of this '24 class together as well--Fland/Richmond/Perry were all Bama recruits. He likes bigs like Cyril--you'd have to fight to keep Quaintance. He's also got ties to Dybantsa in '25 and Caleb Wilson too. His style of play would appeal to them as well as other guys. BTW-here's a stat that leaped out tonight
