Nike wanted Reddish at UK, Lebron did too. That's why they were meeting with him. Look at Klutch sports client list, it's a who's who of UK players and Rich Paul was pushing for Kentucky for that reason.

Fellas, I don't know what Barrett will do anymore than any of you guys. But there has to be a reason that the UK insiders are confident and sticking to their guns on this one. TJ Walker, Matt Jones, and Chris Fisher all believe that Barrett will be at UK next year barring a surprise. I don't think he's a lock by any means, but taking his short comments and saying "that's it, he's going to Duke," is just preposterous.

I am told every day that Cal doesn't recruit. He just tells WWW who he wants. Wes then pays a middle man hundred of thousands in pre paid debit cards and then the kid commits to UK.

I mean if you really think the best recruiter of all time had his top priority on campus for an entire weekend as his first official visit and just didn't have anything planned or know what to say to the kid, then feel free to believe that, I guess. Sure it caught Cal by surprise that RJ just walked up to him one morning and he had never even heard of the kid.
From Barrett's feedback it sounds like Cal was just like you described. Which seems extremely unlikely. So maybe Barrett is trolling Duke?
its also possible Cal went into detail about different scenarios and how RJ would be used (all sounding good) and RJ summarized the more detailed conversation by responding that Cal isn't sure yet..

That's very tricky. Some recruits do not like when you put down others schools while recruiting them, even if it's true. Parents especially. I've seen recruits cut a team because the coach talked down about another school he was considering

Feel free to look up what I've shared in other posts with the board and see if you still feel this is based on trying to "troll". For your sake, hopefully things change or friend got some bad info, but he's pretty good at what he does/knows the right people.

So is TJ and others that say UK feels good about him still. So a a vague I was told doesn't carry much weight. He might not come here but I doubt Ralph's source knows for sure. Most people think Barrett doesn't even know yet.
This is my fear of late. Don't like to hear about 'getting outworked'. Hopefully that's just a simple way of saying we had a lot of ground to make up with Oregon.
Sometimes can't elaborate..but friend was told he's not going to UK. Same friend who had info on Bam, Monk, Briscoe being an issue, Bam definitely leaving school, Bagley re-classifying, so I've got no reason to doubt him. He shared what he had heard and it was believable. Hopefully things change for UK/BBN but as of today heard UK wouldn't be where RJ will go to school.
That's what I'm talking about. So just because a recruit doesn't pick U.K. They are being outworked?!?!
