Dream on.

You are a prick but you are exactly right. We are just dreaming that UNC actually pays a hefty penalty for cheating for over two decades. It ain't going to happen and as the rest of the college basketball world has waited for justice in the UNC cheating scandal Ole Roy has taken his team to back to back championship games. The best penalty for UNC and it's fans is to come up short 2 years in a row.

I enjoy watching the meltdown.

It's hilarious.

Oh ok. I'll come and watch your epic meltdown on Monday. Just like I did last year on that same Monday. I'll bring the popcorn!

Is that you?

I heard that your school robbed college educations from dozens, if not hundreds, of minority students. One fake class at a time. That's not hilarious at all.

Another thing that is hilarious is how none of you know what you are talking about regarding the academic issue that UNC had with the AFAM department.

Maybe instead of simply claiming UNC was "cheating" and the NCAA is going to "let them get away with it all," you should take a moment to actually understand what occurred.

But that may be too much to ask of UK fans who are just upset that their team got beat.

Please explain.

Explain everything that happened and has happened? That would be a rather long post. Plus, there are plenty of non-bias sources one can go to and read all about this. Non-bias being the key. Plenty of sources out there that either (1) don't report the facts correctly or (2) have an agenda they are pushing.

If you have a particular question though about what occurred with the academic issue that UNC had to address, I'd be more than glad to answer it.

I understand that it would take a long time to explain 25 years of cheating. Could you provide links to those non-biased sources you mention?

Can you explain this..

"Outside the Lines" reported last week that McCants said his tutors wrote his term papers, he rarely went to class for about half his time at UNC and he remained able to play largely because he took bogus classes designed to keep athletes academically eligible.

And can you explain the Julius Peppers transcript?

Wheels for Heels Program?

Creates an account to come running over here to talk smack. Cool 7 posts. Id love to hear your take on the academic scandal being a 'non-basketball issue' even though the player that came forward with the details was a mens basketball player.

He-gone.

Well, you could start by reading the two reports filed from investigations regarding this academic issue...

http://carolinacommitment.unc.edu/files/2013/01/UNC-Governor-Martin-Final-Report-and-Addendum-1.pdf

Once you finish reading that, there are other developments one needs to be aware of too. But that is a start.

I have read the Martin report. Among the most significant findings was that student-athletes were disproportionately enrolled in the courses determined to be fraudulent.
How do you reconcile those findings?

McCants has refused to repeat this claim under oath in a legal deposition. He has also refused to produce evidence to back up this claim. Every other teammate of McCants says that his claims are untrue.

It is easy to make a claim on a TV show where one doesn't face the possibility of committing perjury. It is also easy to make claims on TV when you are being paid and have aligned yourself with those who have an ax to grind with college athletics in general. In legal circles, this is known as "bias."

Which is why it would be great to see McCants actually make these claims in a legal setting. He refuses to though. And that speaks volumes.

The whole argument by UNC is that it wasn't an athletic scandal because regular students were allowed to take the classes as well...no shite. What school would only offer classes to a set of students? Probably a coincidence though that the number of athletes involved in these paper classes soared during Roy Williams time there.

Really?

Quote from the report (pg. 8):

"The percentage of student-athletes enrolled in anomalous course sections was consistent with the percentage of student-athletes enrolled in all courses offered by the Department."

Again, a statement that is untrue.

The number of basketball students in these classes actually decreased once Roy Williams arrived and became aware of the clustering of some basketball students in these classes. The NCAA actually talked about how Roy Williams became concerned about these classes and the steps he took in response when they found that Roy Williams hadn't done anything wrong.

So I guess that these numbers are false?

While certain courses have been demonstrated as overtly anomalous, the entire department was discredited by the scandal. So I find it less than convincing that student-athletes were equally spread across the department.

But, was the percentage of student-athletes represented in courses within this department consistent with with the percentage of student-athletes enrolled in courses within other departments?

Governor Martin admitted he provided fake news you asshat. How do you know so much yet not know this?????

"But Martin and Baker Tilly did not review emails among the people involved, nor did they have access to the two officials who ran the fake classes: Deborah Crowder, the former African studies department manager, and her boss, Julius Nyang’oro, the former chairman of the department."

"Martin now says he gave athletic officials too much deference in accepting their version of events. He had only talked to one member of the faculty committee, former faculty athletic representative Jack Evans. Evans later told Wainstein he did not recall any discussion about lecture classes."

IDK. The fact that the only classes he did decent in were AFAM classes and he had a cumulative gpa of a 1.824.

But you didn't touch base on the Mccants and Wheels for Heels situations. Care to elaborate on those?

You have to be trying pretty hard to get a D in "Elements of Drama" and "Stagecraft." Pretty sure you only have to show up to those to at least get a C.
