My wife did hair, and (with 2 partners) owned a shop. (She sold it a few years ago) When we met, I was shocked at how much she earned. Now, to be fair, she had spent years building up a nice client base. She said that when you first start out, that it is extremely hard to make ends meet.

She's the one that told me almost nobody declares their tips (unless they were paid with a card, in which case, you have no choice.)

I asked her if there was any difference, pay wise between being a barber and a cosmetologist, besides the obvious. She said that, in her opinion, barbers do better in the long run. They have to do more cuts, but they don't take as long, and that barbers get exponentially more new "walk-in" business, and that earnings didn't fluctuate as much, week to week, as a stylists would. She didn't make a very good margin on a cut and style, she said the real money was colors and perms.

I bet my wife was one of the highest paid barbers in San Antonio at the time. She had a serious clientele. Such a good barber. She is still a master at her trade but only for me now..

She learned cutting my knockoff Ronald Reagan ole oblong head...

I am forever thankful. Our income now is much better and sustainable.

I wonder if that DEI justice went to the same law school as Crockett.

I'm sure we have some lawyers in here, so please believe me, I mean no offense. When I see people like Crockett and KBJ I'm flabbergasted that they were able to get through law school. It makes me think that law school is a piece of cake, but that obviously cannot be the case. I considered going to law school after I retired, even took the LSAT (Not going to say what I got, but it would have allowed me to get into a decent/good but not top tier law school (with no prep, just went in blind)) but it's just silly expensive.

Anyway, back to the point, I'm amazed that someone that comes across as that dim-witted can get through it and then pass the bar (assuming Crockett did) I have to be missing something here.

@BBUK

BB, there has been a rumor your head is so big you had to wear a home depot bucket for a helmet when playing HS football.

Crockett had the best of everything. She is a total act for attention and it works.

Many lawyers are idiots. Kamala i truly believe had strings pulled for her getting her through everything. She went from high priced call girl to almost potus. Thats a helluva cone up.

We're taking in hundreds of billions of dollars, no inflation whatsoever. I think they should go back to business school. It's so obvious. It's so obvious."

Didn't they drop test qualifications for a lot of things in the past few years. Now I'm not sure if this is true, but at JCPS you graduate whether you pass or not. I'm wondering if there is a quota to be met.

My daughter is an attorney, and I agree with you on (edit: what I would call) outliers.

My daughter had to work so hard, especially for her bar prep.....crazy amount of reading, writing papers, etc.... crazy. <and I am over simplifying.

Someone on MSNBC said that the far right is more concerned with punishing the left than "getting things right" (concerning SCOTUS)

Newsflash for you buddy: Getting things right, and punishing the far left are conjoined AXIOMATICALLY. 🤣 🤣 🤣
Is this your clever attempt to introduce the transitive property?
Asking for a friend.

This is what winning looks like... and I voted for it!

We're all the psychopath Republicans that drove us into war with Afghanistan true Americans . Seems to me that those, like me, who opposed these disastrous adventures to preserve4 American lives. and treasure are the true patriotic Americans, and those that are eagerly applauding Trump's attacks are working against American interests.
hillary voted in favor of afghanistan and iraq. but i understand facts aren't really your specialty.

watch at your own peril...

Troll confirmed
Calling us weirdos and weird - check.

All the dog whistles of a liberal that thinks they are cute for coming in and impersonating a conservative. You would think they have enough sense to vary up their plan of attack, but maybe they are not able to do that given their mental stability from Trump being their daddy.

Knowing what we ALL know now, I can't fathom how ignorant and uninformed you would have to be to deny that the the criminals and thugs that took part in the J6 insurrection weren't part of a plan to stop the constitutional process of counting legal electors and instead inserting fake electors.

Prosecutors tend to go after the easiest and fastest claims to prove, and insurrection is notoriously hard to prove. We now know from the writings and confessions of John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, and others that there was a plan in place to replace the real ballots with fake ballots and an important part of the this plan was to stop the legitimate counting of votes.
Now do government planted assets in the crowd.
Include the fake bombs at the dnc and rnc.
Why wasn't the VP at the capital?
Might as well throw in the moon landing while you are at it.
Ill wager that fed judge smack down has you spinning about now.
INSURRECTION!

you know what is refreshing about that? reporters asking questions in a respectful manner ... almost acting like journalists and not crazy activists like they did during Trump I.

Now ... I know they are still FOS and evil people ... but, I at least can appreciate their progress.

Non politico

For any golf fans on here. Maybe I'm late to the party, but I just read that after 16 years away, The Skins Game is coming back, and will be played this year, on Black Friday. I always enjoyed watching it. Glad they're bringing it back.
I'd like to see the players put up their own money..... That would make it worth watching IMO.

Weird that you do that for musk have no issues throwing out other accusations for those that you don’t necessarily align with on certain issues. Whatever, we all do it to a certain extent. I think it’s been somewhat obvious with him though. His behavior has been fairly erratic at times in the last year.
why is that weird, Tampon Tim? Surely you understand Musk helped our movement drastically and helped save this country. If we cut him a little slack, what is that to you? It doesn't affect you in the least...

Cleat's INSURRECTION! will go down in Cat Paw infamy like Warrior's FALSE. Both are just one simple word that delivers an epic beatdown on anything the nutjobs post 🤣
