I have a stepson who's been working for an Electrician who works in cash only and pays him in cash only, pretty much under the table. He's made enough working for this guy to get by, but we've been on him about getting something legit. Thankfully he's used his experience now that he's applied for the local union shop. (for better or worse) but at least he's getting something much more stable with benefits. He passed the tests and had his interview last week actually, just waiting now to hear back which could take a few weeks based on what he's hearing and seeing from the others.
Where does he live?

Actually, if she is working 3 jobs and is still not making enough money to make ends meet, those are the ones we should be helping and not the ones who sit on their asses doing nothing. However, where does she live that three jobs do not afford her enough money (if working back-to-back) or are they part time jobs making up to the equivalent of 1. Either way, if she is working and needs help, OK.
I think its an example if you receive snap you shouldn't be able to buy mt dew and little Debbie cakes.

Food stamps should be pretty strict of what they buy.

Lololololol a couple things. You would be losing your absolute mind if this was say Ted Cruz charging towards AOC.

Two you can't just proclaim who you are and go towards a US cabinet member

Three, why wasn't he just asking questions instead of charging

4: reality

Have you ever considered who your sources are....meidas touch and new republic...LOLOLOLOL0L
All he had to do was ID himself, stand in the back, raise his hand , and ask his questions.

It’s not hard.

I haven't heard anyone argue to keep criminals in America.
Most Americans just want to see Due Process carried out and for law abiding field, farm, factory and construction workers to not be terrorized unless they are breaking laws.
I'm not there. Anyone who's arrived on their own in the last five years hasn't established their bonafides to stay here. Outta here. TS. Beyond that, it still depends.

Erin Burnett has gone full tds. I thought the msm was gonna tone it down? She talked to Padilla like he was some kind of a hero when it’s obvious he was aggressive initially screaming over noem then as they tried to take him from the room the guy fought like a dog to do what exactly? Where was he going? They called that dude up Padilla to take one for the team. He’s probably a newsome plant. Gonna burn down the country to prevent a trump presidency.

The system would be too overwhelmed right now to expect everyone to be legally registered in a day or week.
There should be a grace period and new immigration law passed to restructure asylum claims and streamline the citizenship process.
What we are doing to immigrant families right now is terrible.

Whatever is being done (nothing) to ILLEGAL immigrant families right now pales in comparison to waht your politicians did to them and the American people.

You did notice she is 300+ ? I don't think I'm believing that she has been going hungry.

This rare earths issue is a big concern to me. Our problem isn't alternate ore sources. It's lack of refining ore capacity. Our EPA is the problem. I hear talk of locating refineries on US-owned land where the EPA isn't in play.

"President Trump on Wednesday hailed the result of the latest trade talks with China as a great victory, but the best we can say is that it’s a truce that tilts in China’s direction...... Mr. Trump had agreed to reduce tariffs on China to 30% (55% including those he imposed during his first term) from 145% while China dropped its tariffs on U.S. goods to 10% from 125%."

But Beijing continued to leverage its stranglehold on rare-earth minerals and magnets, which are used in fighter jets, medical lasers, drones, electric-vehicle engines and more. China’s export controls forced some auto makers to idle plants, slowed production of drones needed in Ukraine, and threatened U.S. manufacturing."

"China relies on U.S. ethane, a byproduct of oil and natural gas production, for its petrochemical manufacturing. Because the U.S. has few other export markets, Mr. Trump’s embargo could have throttled domestic oil and gas production.

U.S. manufacturers will no doubt welcome the rare-earth mineral reprieve, but China is keeping the gun on the bargaining table by putting a six-month limit on export licenses. That means if trade tensions flare again, Mr. Xi can resort to the same threat.

China first weaponized its dominance in rare-earth minerals in a conflict with Japan in 2010 involving the Senkaku Islands, but the U.S. and its allies were slow to develop alternatives. Will they now get the message?

Developing an alternative supply will take years and require cooperation with allies because the U.S. can’t produce and process all the rare earths it needs. Japan has pitched a rare-earths alliance as part of tariff negotiations, and the Administration would be wise to expand such a partnership with other allies.

" His latest walk-back shows he can’t bully China as he tried to do in his first term. China has leverage of its own.

A smarter trade strategy would be to work with allies as a united front to counter China’s predatory trade practices. Instead, Mr. Trump has used tariffs as an economic scatter-gun against friends as well as foes. This increases China’s leverage, and, like this week’s trade truce, that’s nothing to cheer about."

First I've ever heard of an Erin Burnett.

Yes, and it is possible she is trying to game the system.

Again though, my point is, I have been on here in the past arguing for the people who actually try to work and still can't make ends meet to be the ones we should supplement as opposed to housing and feeding those who sit around on their lazy asses doing nothing. We should never award those who won't even try.

Great post! I don't know what argument you think he's blowing up & that's fine.

But he's flat saying to those who think we should deport every illegal here that he doesn't agree. He's also saying we need a system that accepts these long-term, hard working illegals as our economy needs them. And I agree with Trump. He's making the point I've been making for years here.
Yeah, and if it wasn't for those stinkin magas, everthing would be AOK. 😎
