You obviously don't have a clue about ASYLUM Law.
It's 100 percent legal to enter the US anywhere on the border and claim ASYLUM. You will then be released into the country after receiving a court date to hear your case.
It is a lengthy and costly process. But it is NOT illegal to claim ASYLUM.
Don't like the law....tell your Republican Congressman and Republican President to pass a new law.

Claim whatever they want. The issue is the insane intentional delays in adjudication and catch and release.

Asylum requests have been around forever and historically have been used in extreme instances when despot dictators imprison or potentially threaten to execute innocent residents of foreign countries. The problem in this case is that everyone CLAIMS asylum and attempts to work the system to gain entry into our country for better opportunities for their lives and families. They're not fleeing their home countries for fear of being imprisoned or persecuted ... they just don't want to go through the process and would rather jump to the front of the line for all the wrong reasons. Millions upon millions of illegals from Latin and South America could never qualify for legitimate claims of asylum. Everyone knows this to be a fact and anyone who denies it is not being honest ... but honesty is a rare commodity in this country today. An example of a legitimate grant of asylum was to the Vietnamese in the South who would have been slaughtered by the North when the US exited that country. Many came to the US and did so legitimately and rightfully so. To believe those claiming asylum at the US southern border is legitimate is laughable because everyone knows the reason for it is political and has nothing to do with lives being in danger ... all just more lies fomented by corrupt politicians.

Many of them were also being told that they could come here and receive free stuff from the Biden government. These people are not the brightest or have a want to work. They are coming here on the promise of being supported by the American taxpayer.

No where did I say violence or looting was fine. But there's a HUGE difference between isolated rioting which can be handled by local and state officials and a level of rioting that would warrant saying "CALIFORNIA HAS FALLEN" and federalizing the national guard and mobilizing active duty military.

The city was literally more chaotic when the Dodgers won the World Series. LA had a Pride parade over the weekend without issue. Nike had a midnight marathon in the city Saturday that had zero issues. Acting like the entire city is burning and in ruins isn't even close to factual.

You are not wrong on many of your points.
That said, ASYLUM claims have not been around "forever".
The right to claim ASYLUM wasn't made a law until the Refugee Act of 1980.
It is definitely being taken advantage of by immigrants that do want a fast track into the country. The law gives them automatic entry into America and a process to follow while their court cases are heard and a determination is made. That is current law.
There are also legit reasons for many claiming ASYLUM as well.
If Republicans don't like that law ....get off their ass, get rid of it and pass a new one. That's not happening though. Why is that???
Trump is using EOs to get around that law (Biden did as well his last 6 months in office---Too little, too late)----But that is actually against the law. That is why due process is such an issue with those Executive actions.
The Dems tackled ASYLUM in their border bill that Trump tanked.
Those are the facts. That is the law.
