So, if Train A leaves the... 🤣

I saw where Kentucky is asking for yet another extension with respect to the REAL ID deadline. What is the huge deal with this? How many years have they had to get this right?
The deadline is on my wife’s birthday. I got mine a few years ago. She has yet to get hers, she waited too long and couldn’t get an appointment until the 27th of May. So she’ll be driving on an expired license for about 3 weeks. Shhhhhhh. Wish she’d get her TSA Precheck too, cause when we fly anywhere together she makes me go through the regular line with all the peasants.

Whatever clown

Dow was at 45,000+ and now it’s at 40,000

How was that so hard to understand?

I don’t know why I respond to you fools
We wonder same about your Democrat indices tracking.

DJIA close Trump's first day in office on January 21, 2025: 44,420

DJIA close on April 25, 2025: 40,113

Admittedly, I have done ZERO research on the matter. But I can't fathom what the huge challenge is, and why states (like Kentucky) continue to go years and years with asking for extensions on the timeline.

Would it be so complicated to simply force conversion to Real IDs with all new driver's licenses, and with all renewals when licenses expire? It seems full implementation could be achieved (slowly over time) by simply hardwiring it into the normal processes. What am I missing?

I don't understand "Real ID" thing. However, I don't even have a passport as I have no need for one. I have not been on a plane since the 90s and I will never, ever be on another plane.

I got a new ID last summer. I paid for 8 years before expiration. The top of my license states "Not for Real ID Purposes."

Maybe if people understood what the actual difference is and what is actually expected of them we wouldn't need a deadline extension.

Was that in Portugal? Looks like he accelerated once that wave broke and was coming up on his ass.

Yes, Nazare's Canyon

Yeah, he probably felt it starting to rain on him when that thing started to break, and he absolutely BEAT it out of there. That wave looks like something out of a nightmare. Those veins, from all the power it was pulling up were freakish. Bowling ball sized testicles to tow into that.

It's not expressed as .2 I was trying to use the decimals to demonstrate that the quotient was greater than the numerator and denominator, to try and hammer home how 80 percent divided by 20 percent is 400 percent.

If you wrote 4 as the answer on a math test, you'd be incorrect. You have to express the answer as a percentage (multiply it x 100)

Seriously, you guys are making me hate math right now. You all don't ever have to worry about another math problem on here. LOL

F*** math, right in it's ZERO (mathematical butthole)

I need a Tylenol...

I agree with you. I have no idea why the state chose to go down the current path.

My understanding is that driver license issue used to be handle by each county. With the emergence of Real ID all of the county offices were closed and the state decided how many state controlled offices to open in each county. In some counties, there is no problem walking in or scheduling an appointment. In other counties, the state underestimated how many offices would be necessary to meet the need.

In Jefferson County there are 3 offices, which apparently falls short of meeting the need. Some Jefferson County residents are making appointments and driving to other counties to get their Real ID.

I have an appointment for Tuesday which I scheduled a month ago.

I’m not naive enough to believe our soldiers have never broken the law or been involved in some bad shit. But this? Under the control of foreigners?

It can’t be said enough: if you’re a Democrat and you voted for these open borders (and you did by default), you are too stupid to function. Every right should be stripped from you for being so dumb. Go away from us and never come back.

Is it a lie when you don't tell the complete story?

2024 Demographic Variations:
  • Hispanic and Asian women: Births increased by 4% and 5%, respectively.
  • Black women: Births declined by 4%.
  • American Indian and Alaska Native women: Births declined by 3%.
  • White women: Births declined by less than 1%

Total Births: In 2023, the U.S. recorded 3,596,017 births, a 2% decrease from 2022, marking the lowest number of births in over four decades.

In summary, although there was a modest increase in the number of births in 2024, the U.S. birth rate remains below the replacement level, and the general fertility rate continues to decline, reflecting ongoing demographic and societal trends.

In 1972, I enrolled at the Ohio Institute of Technology in Columbus OH which offered an Associate and Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering Technology.

At orientation, the speaker said the statistics show only 1 of 3 will complete the program. The training was all in one brand new building and each class went from room to room much like high school. That fall there were 4 day classes and 2 night classes enrolled. When I graduated 3 years later with an AEET the 6 classes had been reduced to 1 day class. 1 out of 6 made it.

During my time at this school I had a friend attending Ohio State. It was interesting to discover we were using the same technical books, but his curriculum included more non-technical classes.

I know for-profits have earned a bad reputation, but OIT required you to earn the grade. There were no free passes and that is why only 1 of 6 enrollees graduated with my class.

OIT was later purchased by DeVry and things apparently went downhill from that point.
I think many of the schools that went defunct got in trouble for fraud, mostly regarding federal student loans.

Good friend of mine earned his BS EET from DeVry on campus in St. Louis back in mid 90s after he took an early separation from US Army. He started at Rockwell, who was absorbed by Conexant where we worked together. Got laid off in 2010. He finally ended up retiring from Roku after 10 years with a decent separation package.

Sometimes for-profit education can lead to lucrative tech careers.

Why do we need to have replacement levels of births?
This notion that unless there are more births than deaths the nation will cease to exist is absurd.

Stop being willfully stupid. I'm sorry that you needed to be told what was implicit, that being; if it's a percentage problem, that the answer needs to be presented as a percentage. I like you, but you're just being a dumbass. Or maybe you really don't understand the relationship of percentages, or the meaning of decimal places.

Now, go unload some more stock, so my percentages go up even more. According to you, I've only made 15 dollars and 5 cents in the stock market over the last 3 weeks.

/temp ignore, to put a stop to this. People are already angry enough at me as is.
This is why I have him blocked. He WANTS to be the most annoying person here. He GETS OFF on it. He's UPSET that the 'sams' have him beat.

You should never unblock him.

I would add that after DeVry took control that some bean counter likely looked at the drop out rate and calculated how much money could be made if those drop out students completed the program.

How do you increase the graduation rate? Hmmmm,,,,put pressure on the instructors to find creative ways to pass students who might otherwise fail and drop out.

The graduation rate increases and money flows into the coffers, but the value of the degree decreases as a result.

D@mn, that sounds like something the public school system may have copied and is now common practice at all levels of education.

Well, I don't recall making that statement.

My post pointed out that Behar was speaking a half truth in an attempt to make Trump look racist.

Your question does bring Denmark to my mind.
It may not cease to exist due to births/deaths, but it may see considerable change going forward.
