Yep. My wife works with a young black guy named Tre. I like Tre, he's a real one. Tre is overtly done with low blat culture, calls it out in comedic fashion and uses phrases like 'ceiling birds' to decribe a chirping smoke alarm. Tre knows that the reason he's 25 and still living with single parent mom is not b/c he would fail if he left, but b/c she would. Tragic.

I think its Thomas sowell who lays out w crystal clear decline in black quality of life that directly coincides with the decline in black two parent households. Before drug culture, blacks were much less likely to get divorced than whites and had a much stronger extended family relationship.
Blacks have every right to be furious with the government but their anger is misplaced. We know for a fact the cia needed to fund their off books ops so they used drugs to do it. Only problem was they didn't have a market for those drugs. So the engaged usaid to create such a market, which they did through music.
It wasnt the first usaid music outreach used as propaganda, but it was probably the first one targeted at home. Through NED (one of their ngos) they determined the afro Carribean community were more susceptible to drug life propaganda, so they set up record labels and agents as fronts, and completely funded/created some artists. Voila rap music turned into something that glorified drugs and violence and an entire race was forever changed.
They still have these programs and mike benz talked extensively about it. Its happening in the latino community, Ukraine, etc.

Well, I have skin in this game with a couple of daughters in college who participate in sports. It's hard enough to fight the establishment on this weak mentality, but to know you are accepting it while laughing about it totally makes me feel better about the left's idea of protecting womens' spaces.

Planned obsolescence in a consumer economy. Everything is disposable now. That includes cars. Can't make money if people only buy a car, microwave, dishwasher, range, TV, etc, every twenty years.

I think Electronic parking brakes are pretty much on most cars these days, unless your getting a very base model of something. My Sonata has one, and the only thing that bothers me is that if it's engaged, it won't let me put the car in reverse until I put my damn seatbelt on. Fine if i'm backing out to actually leave, but if i just want to move the car out of the garage or something, it's annoying.
What year is it? My 2020 Sonata Limited has it. Not sure if the base models do or not. Hyundais are pretty underrated. I like mine.

I worked at a bowling alley for a few years during college. We also had a pool hall. I saw quite a few "pool hustlers". None of them were female. Actually, it was the same for bowling "hustlers".
Concerning planned obsolescence, pre-1970 cars are the perfect example. The Big Three planned for them to be totally worn out by 100K miles - and they were well before that - such that people would buy new every three years. As Jimmy Buffet used to say, "Let's hear for a $100 pickup truck !!". And you could buy POS for less than that. Might last a month.
