Thanks, I actually looked at a Nissan Rogue but the electronic parking brake ruined me even seriously looking at it. The Rav4 has one and they are expensive items if they go bad. My daughters did. I'd buy a Toyota but they are so darned noisy while driving them. I was thinking about a Buick. Just open-minded to this point. We owned a Toyota Highlander and we had it a long time, even took it to Korea but just noisier than I want this go round... No rush but any input is appreciated.

I think all Subaru models have the electronic parking brake. Haven't seen one outside of Toyota that doesn't have it. I like Buick models in general. Wish the GMC Jimmy was still a thing. They were getting better and better for a while there, and then... think they just stopped making em altogether

Just beware the CVTs. Rouges are notorious for CVT failure. Not all are junk but at this point I have just decided not to own a vehicle that has one until they completely iron out the kinks. Do your research.

Haven't used this for awhile but it used to be a good resource to find what you like.

The Hyundai doesn't. At least my daughters Santa Fe...

Pin this:

ALL BRITISH CARS SUCK... YES, ALL OF THEM (their motorcycles are also horribly unreliable as well Triumph)).
Well, not all of them. Aston Martin and Bentley.

Germany more than makes up for Britains auto shortcomings.

Audi
Mercedes
BMW
Porchce.

This is a perfect example revealing the total lack of knowledge the Left has and proves they are simply repeating talking points.

First, tariffs are one of the most effective negotiating tools a nation has. Tariffs have been used as leverage since the time they were invented. How do you not know this?

Secondly, we have seen how Trump works for years. He always starts off very hard to establish dominant leverage and negotiates from a position of strength.

Imagine being like you and not wanting to negotiate with trade partners who desire to make better deals for the US and their country?

The more comments you make the less credibility you have.

Mad at Dunkin Donuts instead of the community and the lawlessness that makes it necessary to have bulletproof glass at a donut shop:

Vote better.
Instead of recording violence, stop it.
Instead of buying & listening to music that promotes violence, don't.
Instead of blaming the businesses trying to keep their business safe, tell people to stop robbing stores and rioting.
Protest riots.
Protest looting.

Sitting here watching the Aviation Nation Air Show on Fox Live from Vegas. Thunderbirds performing. They were doing one manuever .... 3 flying wing to wing and then transferring into a diamond right in front (and low) of the crowd. I swear the one pilot must have jerked his flight stick for whatever reason. I've never seen a F16 jerk like that. Really thought he was going to lose it.

They've got a gal doing the announcing/play by play this year. Most irritating announcing I've ever heard.

It's b/c domestics are over-priced shit products. They just are.

Bought my last domestic in 1999. It was a 4x4 S10. Had it for about a year then traded that pos at a loss on my first Tacoma. Before the S10, I had a new Jeep Wrangler TJ. I got rid of it b/c Jeep said that burning 2.5 quarts of oil between oil changes on a brand-new engine was "within the parameters of acceptable operation."

We've owned 5 Toyotas, 7 Hondas and 2 Subarus. Only 1 of those cars had me at the dealership with a higher frequency than I was comfortable with and that was Subaru's brand-new model, the 2019 Ascent. US makers have miles and miles to go to get my money again, I don't care how cheap they make them. They broke me hard.

And don't even get me started on Gov't bailouts... grrr.

Thanks for that info on the Ascent.

Didn't know that. Do know a lot of people that survived accidents because they were driving Hyundais

Yeah, I do some simple mechanic work when I can just for the exercise. My wife's 2015 Camry, I changed the brakes and rotors. No issue. (Saved 1700 or so dollars doing it for about five hours work.). I tried my daughters Rav4 and found out about those automatic emergency brakes like that. Cost about 1500 just to fix and replace those two calipers. (Outside of my capabilities.) That is what turned me away from those. My daughter has a 2019 Rav4 and that kind of dough for a set of brakes, rotors and those two calipers was something in the neighborhood of nearing 3k or so dollars. Just criminal.

That's why I and several other people I know are looking for older vehicles. 80s and 90s trucks and such. I want something I can work on again.

Ever watch Scotty Kilmer on YouTube? Mechanic who seems to know his stuff. Has a ton of videos on all types of vehicles and seems to be very honest about different makes/models of what is good/bad about them Much more than just a repair video channel.
Informative and entertaining guy if you can get past how he talks with his arms flailing away... 😄

Good God the UK is absolutely gone.

Said it earlier, if the Libs had their way, this would be the future of the US

"Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Saturday that social media companies must moderate content on their platforms or else “we lose total control.”"
