My question is why can’t the Trump administration file counter suits in jurisdictions with Republican friendly judges to overturn the injunctions of the liberal judges. Can that even be done? I’m no legal expert, but can’t they fight fire with fire?
I've asked that several times on here in the last month or so.

I can deal with Massie sticking to his guns on spending. I get it, and in the grand scheme, congress does need to cut more, and absolutely can as part of the reconciliation process.
I'm tired of his intellectual purity tests getting in the way of improvement. He's a member of a body, not president.

LOL.

I tell ya man, this bizarro world the "left" has foisted upon us is really something else. It's like some Mayan prophecy end of the universe Y2K voodoo was actually true and we've just been living in some slow burn towards their dystopian hellscape all this time.

I don't remember articles basically laying out for you exactly where any Biden Cabinet Secretary lives. Someone in the comments joked 'Where does Mayorkas live?'

RFK Jr. has had countless death threats, even before the election Joe Rogan commented on just how big RFK's security detail is.

The article starts out giving people knowledge of where his new house is (how is Kennedy's new home purchase national news?)...the middle of the article wants you to know how many workers he has laid off and how horrible the 'return-to-office mandate is...the article ends with letting you know where Treasury Secretary and the Commerce Secretary also live.

From the article:

Kennedy, who was spotted doing a walk-through at the home this week with his security detail's vehicles parked outside, will live in the same neighborhood as the woman whose mother sold Mar-a-Lago to Donald Trump in 1985.

Kennedy's home purchase comes amid his major restructuring of the department that laid off 10,000 workers on Tuesday
across the nation's public health agencies, including laboratory scientists, support staff for food safety inspectors and worker safety researchers.

The timing of the layoff notifications, early in the morning on April Fool's Day — and his remarks suggesting that he had taken into account that some 20% of the cuts would be mistakes that would need to be rescinded — have sparked frustration among many federal employees whose teams were purged.

Agencies have also been grappling with the brain drain from a chaotic return-to-office mandate that forced many workers into overcrowded offices and long commutes, undoing past efforts to recruit scientists otherwise unwilling to relocate to D.C.

Senior Trump administration officials have deeply invested in D.C. real estate. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent recently purchased a $12.5 million mansion blocks from Secretary Kennedy's new Georgetown home.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick bought the chateau-like D.C. mansion that belonged to Fox News' Bret Baier in the Foxhall neighborhood, the Washingtonian reported.

Families who raise actual good conservative women and managed for their daughters to not end up in the group Charlie Kirk is mentioning— have hit the lotto.

This has been a very difficult thing to find for younger guys trying to marry.
My niece is THE type of young lady every straight man dreams about.

She's super sweet, very, very intelligent, beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. She's a Christian girl who goes to church every Sunday and Wednesday. She will get her B.S next year, and has made the decision to follow her mother and become an attorney. She's in a sorority, and she told them right up front she's a Christian and doesn't party, drink, etc.

Some dude is going to hit the jackpot when he wins her heart, but he has to be vetted by her dad, her granddad, her brother, and myself, lol.

That would be called a collateral attack and does no good. They can't preemptively file because there is no dispute ripe for adjudication since no one complained of injury.

There is one legit challenge and thats pushing it through the courts. That will be way more effective if they out these corrupt judges.

I've asked that several times on here in the last month or so.

I apologize in advance for this long post, but this is how it seems to have come together.

The reason for these lawsuits are to bog down the administration in order to slow down Trump's agenda. If you read my previous comment regarding tariffs, the clock is ticking quickly as we are 18 months out from the midterms. Presidents normally lose majorities during midterms, the Senate should be safe if not gain a seat or 2, but the House is very at risk. Thus Trump needs his agenda going at full speed in order for the economy to have time to turn around and the fruits of his executive orders to shine.

All of these judges are ordering TRO's, temporary restraining orders. TRO's are placed into effect until a preliminary injunction hearing is set. Preliminary injunctions run until the end of the lawsuit. This is important.

Preliminary injunctions can be immediately appealed to the Court of Appeals. However, there is no right to appeal a TRO. It is NOT random that all of these judges are granting TRO's which contain detailed, grandiose, and burdensome language to delay the issuance of a date for a preliminary junction to be heard.

Secondly many of these cases are likely filed in the wrong courts with judges that are overreaching.

1. Lack of Standing - many of the "plaintiffs" do not have a clear, direct injury. Advocacy groups and State Attorney Generals are not specifically harmed, thus these courts lack jurisdiction over speculative or generalized grievances.

2. Improper Venues, basically court shopping. Cases are obviously being filed with specific judges with left leaning ideologies. Cases are normally required to be filed where the policy was enacted or where the injured party resides.

3. Judicial Overreach - Local District Courts lack jurisdiction to issue broad, nationwide injunctions.

The thing is, they do not care. They know they will be overturned once preliminary junctions have to be filed. Their goal is not to win. The strategy is to delay.

Over 150 lawsuits have been filed against the administration to date. This is a premeditated strategy to stall the President's agenda and prevent any progress so that he is at a major disadvantage when the midterms roll around and if he loses the House he becomes a lame duck President his final 2 years.

Trump wants to avoid the dictator accusations and not usurp the courts, he knows he will likely win all of these on appeal. However, he cannot speed up the process. Congress is offering zero help and John Roberts is a snake.

I feel for Trump, his entire 1st Term he was attacked from Day 1 by frivolous impeachments, the media, Congress, the deep state and his own administration. This term he has the House and Senate, he fired as many enemy bureaucrats as possible and now the Left has resorted to weaponizing the judiciary.

These tactics only harm the American people, I see them as traitorous.

Someone help me with the most recent job numbers. Expected number was 140k, the actual number was 280k. Even my brain can comprehend that 140k MORE jobs were created last month than anticipated. So, how did the unemployment rate increase? Somehow, with obviously inflated job numbers from the previous administration, the unemployment rate almost always stayed the same or fell. Even after month after month of job numbers were revised downward, sometimes significantly downward. I don't want to make my head to give myself a headache trying to figure out this tortured math - help me someone!

Government workers filing for unemployment? Hopefully!

Colorado has went to hell:

"The speaker of Colorado’s general assembly discovers that killing poor people is less expensive than letting them live."

Dems: "Aborting more babies is good fiscal policy"

Well, boys, we always knew that leftists are all for eugenics and such.

Just look at their entire historical record.

I mean, assisted suicide in left countries, sold as compassion. BS, they're trying to save money.

My actual first thought on covid deaths were they engineered that to wipe out all the old people sucking state dollars.

Not sure I was wrong.

Well, I will say they are not stupid. I came back to the board after more than a decade layoff but it only took them 2 days to figure out that they cannot debate me. I come with facts. I use my real name because I stand by everything I say. They are cowards and they support policies that endanger my children and root for the country to fail. I will give no quarter.
Were you really gone ten years? Wow. I knew I hadn't seen you post for a while but I didn't realize it had been that long.

Anyway, welcome back, and keep on kickin' the libs' asses, lol. You can spell @Girthang , @HymanKaplan , @TheFrontRunner , @bigblueinsanity and a few others.

I think welder just told me to "take some time off" 🤣

brianpoe's comeback is like getting Yaxel Lendeborg. 😃 (although The Rafters will STILL find something to complain about)

Also, AshWilliams, LostinFL, 55Wildcat, BillCosby, screwduke1, HeismaNole, augustaky1, trublujr2,Craftydragon, firewithfire, blubo, berniecarbo, and last but definitely not least, the stready hand at the rudder, AustinTXCat (I'm one of the oldest people on here, but AustinTXCat, and his calm adult like manner, makes me feel like he's my wiser/older Uncle etc. like if he told me something I'd say "yes sir" 🤣) , and a lot of others have picked up the burden as well. I don't post as much as I used to (life stuff forces me to post in spurts, and I'm not as knowledgeable on economics etc. as a lot of you are, so I get to learn a lot here)

WTF

"The complaint alleges a hostile workplace that includes juvenile pranks, like putting firecrackers under chairs, to acts bordering on criminal like dosing the office coffee with drugs like Viagra and Adderall and jabbing a needle into an officer’s penis."

From the article:

"A New Jersey police chief is accused of defecating by desks, spiking others’ coffee with Viagra and other harassment.

The complaint alleges a hostile workplace that includes juvenile pranks, like putting firecrackers under chairs, to acts bordering on criminal like dosing the office coffee with drugs like Viagra and Adderall and jabbing a needle into an officer’s penis.

Michael Derrin, a special captain with administrative duties, claims Farley chased him around the office and cornered him before “[sticking] a hypodermic needle through [his] jeans into the tip of [his] penis,” drawing blood.

Derrin claims Farley would also shave and put his body hair on people and their food.

Lt. Alex Guzman claims Farley exposed himself, made inappropriate comments and defecated on the floor and in garbage cans."

That looks like Bull, from Night Court.

Too much of coward to stand on Dem policies? You only hate Trump. Very weak.
I don’t hate anyone. I want everyone in the US and the whole world to do well. These policies are basically going to make quality of life worse for Americans the most but also the rest of the world. Over the last 40 years the American economy, has prospered and lifted billions of other people worldwide out of poverty.

We can have our cake and eat it too. The long term effects of these tariffs is going to be the world moving on without the US. We aren’t trustworthy anymore as a trade partner and the world will oblige us with leaving us to ourselves in our little island over here in between the Atlantic and Pacific. We will have less because we don’t have the human capital necessary to produce the wealth of goods and services we are accustomed to. Basically what we ourselves can make for us to consume is much less than what we can consume in a free trade scenario because we have more money than everyone else. The first step in making us poorer is erasing the projected future earnings of our companies. That erased the value of owning these companies which is what we saw in the stock market. He next step is going to be as actual products prices go up and products start disappearing from our shelves. The next part will be job shifting. The goods US produces domestically and exports will start slowing and people will lose jobs there while others gain jobs in things that are necessities that we have to start making here. Trading software engineers for tee shirt makers basically.

I am disheartened by the glee you all seem to have in peoples suffering. You like to see foreigners suffer, you relish Americans losing money in the stock market, you think there is some great future for you, but that’s only cause you don’t understand. My view of your attitude is that you would rather see us suffer under Republican leadership no matter who it is then prosper under anyone else. Why do I think this? Because over the last 20 years I have seen the people in this forum dismiss every single good thing that has happened under Democratic leadership and relish the bad things that happen under Republicans.

I want people to do well and moving forward under these policies more people will suffer than do well. Also I’m not a patriot. I don’t really care if someone is American, Mexican, Chinese, Russian, whatever. We all have a right to be free and prosperous. Leaders who see the world as a game of stealing prosperity from others are the problem with the world not the solution. Trump is one of those people so I don’t support him. We have words for that and they’re called selfish or greedy at best, and maybe evil at worst. All I know is with one fell swoop on 4/2/2025 Trump made the world a worse place to live for everyone and we in the US will bear the majority of that cost.

I've invested in the stock market nearly 37 years total. Constantly monitoring. Own stocks via brokerage accounts and through Dividend Reinvestment Plans. Own 3 German issues through American Depository Receipts (ADR). And who am I? Just some poor-ass hick from KY.

If you desire additional insight, then I highly suggest you read Benjamin Graham.

More buy opportunities happening ever day in this current environment. Problem is too many are unwilling to run the marathon, but want it all now. That's BS.

Until my next lesson, Señor.

The United States has been the largest source of humanitarian and military aid in the history of the globe. And nobody is HAPPY about people losing money. The bandaid needed to be ripped off though, so that in the future, everyone will be better off in the long run.

You took all that time to type that LOOOONG post, and literally got it ALL wrong.

The good news about the tariffs is that you will get to literally work until you’re so old that you’ll probably die on the job. Because “owning the libs” became far more important than maintaining a stable 401K.

lol

The amount of lefties jerking themselves off to daily movements in their 401k balances truly is a mesmerizing.

If you are in a position where it matters, that’s your own fault.

Temu is about to crash the plane right into the mountain. IOW, they're probably f***ed.

China, despite it's big talk, HAS to be worried. They're twice as leveraged to their treasury as the US is to it's. And the only thing backing that money printer is a massive amount of unused construction, that is rotting away. I'm not sure what they were thinking, because it is impossible to build a self-sustained economy in a slave state.

And, in addition to the sky-high tariffs, and unlike previous Trump tariffs, China will not be able to use other countries as drop-shippers. IOW - mega dumping goods in US tariff friendly countries and have them imported from there.

China can try and depend on other trading partners but it won't work. There just isn't anything out there that can replace the US consumer. And w/o dollars, China won't even be able to feed itself.

If Trump CAN build the Mar A Lago accord, and keep the dollar's value low, like he wants, it will be the biggest Presidential achievement since Lincoln won the Civil War.
