China needs to go to their room and think about what they've done. They're going to choke on their own dicks, when Americans can't buy their products at a major discount anymore, and they can't grow enough food to feed their own population.

Let's see how long the EU stands fast with their Ukraine brothers, when they actually have to, you know, DO IT.

They'll lose their stomach for it in 6 months.

Yep. Talked a good talk when the camera was rolling. Then met with UKR officials and backed off, offering loan guarantees again. Just like they did 2012-2014 to get this whole thing started. Spinnin wheel got to go round

I loved that game. That, and they had the one, where you flew that mechanical helicopter around, and hit targets. It was sort of like one of my favorite toys as a kid; The Vertibird.

It was all fun and games until you got too close (setting up the targets) and Mike Budzinski flew it into your face.

I wonder how tall "Ski" ended up getting?

My sister is in Owensboro, and they had to take shelter in the hallway of the hotel they're in a few minutes ago. Not sure why the hallway is safer. I mean, who needs to risk taking a huge ice machine to the face?

"You might wanna put some ice on that..."

I would think the bathroom would be much safer than the hallway

FischerKing: "People are saying ‘they’re not reciprocal!!!!!’ We could quibble about that, argue about currency manipulation and all that. But let’s just see what happens.

It’s like people forgot these things are a negotiation and that it’s true we have totally hollowed out towns brought to us courtesy of ‘free trade.’

So other countries currently charge us more than we charge them..in some cases a lot more. Trump says we are going to start charging those countries more..but still not as much as they charge us. Other countries then say that makes us mad, now are gonna charge you more than the outrageous amounts we already charged United States. And people are mad at trump?

Advisor to RFK Jr. really went after the whole room:

"When you turn on CNBC, it's just a nonstop infomercial for pharma. It's a Skyrizi commercial followed by Scott Gottlieb saying how Bobby's k*lling people followed by a breathless coverage of the measles outbreak, and no mention of the mental health crisis. It is insane for you to insinuate that the thing standing between us and better health is more government bureaucrats."

"The [Trump] administration has put out guidance that they want to cut indirect funding. That fundamentally means more money is going to researchers ...The rank and file researchers are very excited about what's happening."

Fact:

Anyone who think the tariffs today are good for America is not worth debating economics.

I am kind of astonished that people here are this stupid. Good luck guys, peace out, no use wasting breath here anymore. I hope you’re blessed enough to not have this substantially impact the quality of your life. The bottom 40% are already struggling with prices and today from what I can tell everything sold at retail in our country just got about 5%-10% more expensive. Cars will be at least 10% more across the board.

If you think this is the way to pay down the debt great, but you’re basically saddling the debt on the middle class and poor and letting the rich who have made all the money from our past policies off the hook.

Nothing, absolutely nothing in this post is correct. Astonishing...

And the corporate taxes that everyone wants increased? You're generally okay with THOSE tariffs it would seem. 🤣 🤣 🤣

I would set the corporate rate 0. I think corporate taxes are double taxation. I would set capital gains at the same as income taxes. I would cut spending.

I would tariff strategically. Setting 10%-50% tariff on $4.1 trillion $’s of imports is just silly. It’s going to be inflationary, it’s going to stifle employment. Whatever you envision in the long term will never happen because the next few years are going to be so ****ed that it will be another decade before the electorate votes Republican again.

When the Wall Street Journal turns on a Republican it’s not good and the mood there has soured quickly from their elation after Trump won the election in November. Those are voters too. Go look at his approval ratings they were 57% just a couple months ago and now sit at 47%.

People that voted and were excited about Trump have already turned on him. This is still a democracy so votes matter. Good luck with getting votes in 2026 and beyond when the economy goes to shit and you were only elected because you promised to make the economy better.

If this was a parliamentary style govt the plug would already be getting pulled

Tomorrow marks the start of the anniversary of the greatest tornado outbreak in Kentucky history. April 3 , 1974

I was 11 and it was surreal.
I was almost nine (an important distinction at that age). We lived on Riverside Drive in Augusta (KY) and I remember setting on the front porch watching the storms come up the river and on the other side.

You are right, it was surreal.

What are you breathing on?
Do you mouth the words as you type?
Who's gonna check the facts?

Meanwhile, back in the real world...

The number of login services and passwords is nuts for the VA. And, it seems like it is always down for maintenance or changing.

They VA medical teams I have worked with in the Cincinnati area have been really good. The VA admin Corps. Well, Doge would have a field day with that one.

Tell tale sign someone actually doesn’t read the WSJ.

Not that everyone needs to read the WSJ. But anyone who actually does read it knows they are MIC and establishment supporters, and have generally opposed Trump.

You said you were leaving.
You peaced out.

The VA engages in way to many contract vehicles versus combining resources through lesser vehicles to where reasonable cohesion occurs. That is much of the reason for their technology issues. That plus the contracts lead much of the decision-making versus federal direction. Much of the federal oversight has minimal technical knowledge.... Never was a good model and never will be ..

I think I'll take the advice of the guys in the cabinet who are billionaire businessmen over the thoughts of some moronic liberal posting on catspaw.

Man, the arrogant hubris of the Left is wild.
This.

These idiots who show up here quoting liberal outlets or social media "stars" are more moronic than those who are spouting the fake news they are repeating. Repeating repetitive talking points spouted by brainless idiots only shows how weak minded they really are.

Trying to explain tariffs and their myriad uses/circumstances to some people on here is like trying to teach a monkey differential mathematics.
Me liking this post while I eat bananas counting how many were in the bunch using my fingers and toes and looking confused saying: Wha wha What? Of course, that still makes me smarter than a dim so...

Oh, is the truth coming out?????

I think if I was appointed to a position like Waltz was....I'd hire only people with the last name of Smith, Jones, Daniels, Reagan, Adams.........
you know, like 4th generation or more Americans.

Please support your "fact" with supporting "facts". And "anyone" meaning top economists, business leaders, etc.....they are all wrong per your "fact".

He's too stupid to get it. If they're not good for a country, why does every country do it to our products to more than double our tariff rates? They're nothing more than toy parrots repeating whatever lies they're told. If Gill Bates, CNN, or AOC told them sausage enemas were good for them, they'd all be downtown hiring male hookers.
