A friend's fiancé narrowly missed being scammed by a "dentist" in Illinois once upon a time. Tried to convince them to do a procedure without anesthesia. Then did some other shady sht. He checked into his methods, and my friend found out he was practicing some middle eastern methods that were potentially harmful.

Few years later the guy was sued because someone's teeth were falling out after he had tried to move them too fast with some "custom" orthodontic devices. He skipped town on his "clients" AND family. Went back to the middle east. They found out all of his paperwork was fraudulent. Degrees. Citizenship/name...
