Hey, gollum. Going back to your perception bias criticizing me for posting 11 times out of 143 posts, including 10/12, well, 5000 just posted 17 times in 77 posts (ending with xxx637) - a way higher percentage than you complained about over me. Yet you haven't said a world about him. Only legit reason is perception bias. Net, I'll ignore your future comments on my posting frequency going forward. Enjoy.

I'm no fan of SS, but SS covers more than just your own payback, including children survivors, people going on disability, widows. Of course you're too narrowminded to realize that.
Hey hmt 5000. Can you break down how he got those numbers? Don’t seem to add up for me…

With Canada cancelling elections, after appointing a new prime minister that nobody voted for, it appears there is a very real movement in Canada now to become a part of the US.

More and more people from Alberta are getting on board since those guys met with Trump. Alberta only gets back 1$ for every 4$ its sends to Ottawa. Land corridor to Alaska and lots of timber, oil and gas, hunting, fishing, farming... it's not as crazy as it sounded 3 months ago.
Lmao if you think Canadians will ever be a part of the US. Name your bet

Yea, starting a war is what it takes to be a real US President.
It looks to me like he decided to decimate a terrorist organization which has already struck against Americans. You think that's starting WW3? Other than other radical Muslim countries (who already hate us), who is going to come to the Houthis aid? Are you advocating no retaliation against terrorist actions perpetrated on Americans? Just let it slide? The world as a whole would be better off if every terrorist was liquidated, imo. Ask much of Europe how much those immigrants have improved their lives and, for the most part, they're NOT terrorists. But radical Islam is a scourge that the world will have to defend against and, perhaps, eradicate. Mainstream Islam as a religion is fine with me. Radical Islam brainwashing individuals to kill, rape and attempt to overthrow nations that have opened their arms to welcome them needs to be erased from the planet. We'll all sleep better if that happens.

And, are you rooting for WW3 just so you can tell everyone on this board that you were right? Geezus, man. I hate putting anyone on Ignore but you make me waffle almost every day. Just so combative and aggressive. It's fine to disagree and to present a coherent argument. But you seem to relish posting with both barrels blazing at all times. It's tiresome as hell, honestly. There are times I wholeheartedly agree with your view, though. But, most times the way you present it is repugnant.

Well that’s because anything over 16’ comes from Canada and they can charge whatever they want because we don’t have any way to produce the material.

Also it sounds like China is starting to up their support to Canada too and that is propping them and their confidence up some!

I'm not a builder, but since balloon framing fell out of favor about 100 years ago (for good reasons, like it being a fire hazard of epic proportions), I'd think 16 foot boards would be a pretty niche market. Bespoke projects and wooden yachts come to mind.

And China's economy is f***ed, so I'm not sure how much help they'll be.

These tariffs, while uncomfortable in the short term, if given the chance to work, will benefit everyone, when they come to their senses and agree to ACTUAL free trade.

Canada needs to get their head right.

Be interesting to find out who the staffer was, doubtful Biden signed half of anything with his name on it.

From the article:

A key aide to former President Joe Biden may have exceeded their authority by liberally using an autopen to sign official documents, according to two former White House sources, as President Trump’s aides set up “far more restrictive” rules governing the use of the mechanical device.

One Biden White House source told The Post they suspect that a key aide to the then-president may have made unilateral determinations on what to auto-sign. The Post is not publishing that staffer’s name due to the lack of concrete evidence and refutations by other colleagues.

The Biden aide, who did not respond to requests for comment, would frequently make mention of what “the boss” wanted, the source said, but compatriots would have “no idea” if it was true because the internal culture was to not ask questions.

“I feared no one as much as I feared that [staffer]. To me, [the staffer] basically was the president,” the person said. “No one ever questioned [the staffer]. Period.”

“Everyone” was suspicious of this individual exceeding their authority when claiming to speak for the president, the source said. “But no one would actually say it.”

A second Biden White House source agreed that the person was suspected of assuming the then-president’s positions and handing down orders without it being clear if they actually had communicated with the commander-in-chief.

“If they’re carrying out the president’s will, it doesn’t seem like an issue. If they’re not carrying out the president’s will, it’s a huge issue — it’s criminal,” Davis said, listing forgery, obstruction of justice and fraud as potential charges.

“If an authorized autopen operator is using the autopen on a particular document against the president’s will, it’s clearly not valid.”

From a member of the Trump team:

“Our practice around autopen usage is far more restrictive than most previous administrations. We do not use the autopen for documents that exercise the powers of the Presidency. So, for example, we do not use the autopen for executive orders, presidential memoranda, decision memoranda, nominations, appointment orders or commissions, or bills to be signed,” he wrote.

The first comment "Who will pick our potatoes now?"

(I'm sure Trump had a meeting recently 'Where are we on that Irish problem?')

From the article:

They run businesses. They tend bars. They pay taxes. While they are in the U.S. illegally, they are largely spared the scrutiny of that label. But still they live in fear. They are the thousands of undocumented Irish immigrants in America today.

Recent estimates from the Irish government suggest that there are as many as 10,000 undocumented Irish immigrants across the United States.

Easy to round em up, though....

Trump "To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, H*LL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!"

"They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones."

"Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk."

"The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated

Trump got in some golf swings today and then it was time to kill some terrorists:

"AFTER his round of golf. He was still in his golf clothes in the clubhouse literally dropping bombs"

Doing more shit for Israel.

General Wesley Clark said he saw a list after 9/11 where they wanted us to invade seven countries in five years. At this time, we have invaded all but Iran.

This is for Greater Israel

Getting us into a war with Iran for Israel will be the ultimate betrayal.

I would welcome Alberta and Saskatchewan to the US with open arms. Those two provinces are the reddest in Canada, and have tangible natural resources. The rest of Canada can go pound sand.

Classic!!! Thanks!

An aside....I was probably six or so at the time but Chuck ref'd a tournament my brother was in (Tae Kwon Do) in Michigan. (Cell was the schools instructors last name. I want to say Ed Cell but I was around five or six years. Anyway my brother kicked a guy in the face some way and Chuck grabbed my brother and threw him down. (My brother is ten years older than me.) Had to be 1966 or 67...

Dang I was CLOSE!!!! Looked this guy up to see how bad my memory was....

Exactly, we have too many lunatic left wingers as it is now. Hard pass on Canada, IMHO. (I don't think it will ever really happen anyway)

Fired up my SW Receiver tonight. 80 meter, lower side band.

A fellow from Georgia was having a spirited convo with another dude in South Carolina.

Essentially they both are of the opinion that Canada can get F***ED.

Other topics:

Georgia guy was vehement about Pluto being a planet, SC guy, not so much. It got heated on that point.

Neither state has any decent BBQ

and the last decent car that Ford made was the Galaxy 500... 🤣

I don't have a HAM license, but I've always enjoyed listening to "codger radio"

Sad to say, you have to search a lot more to find them now. Amateur radio is on it's last legs. It's a shame...

Houthis have been attacking our ships and are a terrorist threat as well as attacking others in a vital maritime corridor.

I know you guys have been told Putin is the overlord of the galaxy, but the houthis are directly waging attacks on us. It's also ramping up for negotiations on Iran's nuclear program

Reuters:
"The Houthis, an armed movement that took control of most of Yemen over the past decade, have launched scores of attacks on ships off its coast since November 2023, disrupting global commerce and setting the U.S. military on a costly campaign to intercept missiles and drones that have burned through stocks of U.S. air defenses."

So now, it's not just about Israel, which i have no desire to fund. Tho it is interesting hitler nazi times infinity Trump is nice to Israel...weird
