DOE should be disbanded. If federal government still collects as much income tax, that should be sent to the schools on a per pupil basis. Going forward, schools get bonuses, which can be passed on to the teachers as compensation, based on the amount of taxes over a set baseline its alumni are paying into the system. You produce higher quality productive members of society, you get rewarded as a school.
