In particular, can you imagine wanting to do business with a country that when you stop doing business with you they decide to try to kill you. People like you are so weak. You're either a traitor, dumb or a coward. Probably all three.
I'm gonna say that one's all three with stupid and traitor first. He doesn't realize what a trade war is and sympathizes more with those who've had insane tariffs levied against us for decades.
The WORST thing for economic stability and the stock market is CHAOS.
Tariffs today .... Not tomorrow.... But maybe next month.... Or maybe not.

My now ex-wife was 2 weeks overdue with the twins when they induced labor. Apparently induced labor is more painful than normal so, she was lying in the hospital bed starting to freak out about the pain. She then wanted to get up and leave the hospital getting a bit hysterical and screaming about she has to leave.
Trying to calm her down was not working so, I went into comedic shock mode by having to physically restrain her holding her shoulders down and telling her to shut up and do your job. I did mine and got you pregnant so now, you have to deliver the babies. I thought it was funny and would help take her mind off of the pain some. The nurse did not think so and kicked me out of the hospital room and got the doctor. The nurses were pissed at me. Who'd a thunk it?

Looking at my 2024 W-2, my Box 1 Wages are exactly the same amount as my total Box 5 Wages (Medicare wages and tips) LESS my contribution to our company's 401k. Since I maxxed out for w/h of SS tax, Box 3 has the maximum number in it. Bu, Box 1 amount goes directly into my 1040 as gross income. There is no adjustment for the $10k+ I paid into SS - none - on the 1040. So, no, FICA taxes withheld from your paycheck do NOT decrease your AGI, thus you most likely are being taxed on the taxes withheld from your paycheck via FICA.
