What I find pretty amusing, amd I'm sure the Sam's can't comprehend, but a fundamental difference in parties is highlighted by the CHIPS act they've crowed about.

How much money?

1.2 trillion was it? Of taxpayer money. Where's the chip plants?

Now, compare that to private foreign companies pledging 100 billion (TMSC) for USA chip manufacturing done here.

Who wants to bet on which will actually ever produce something useful?

Like I said, you’re going to learn the hard way, but I bet you’ve learned a lot of things the hard way over the course of your life.

Trump will leave office in 4 years with higher unemployment, higher deficit, and much lower GDP growth than prior to this term. Likely most here will also see a reduction in the value of their homes and retirement savings.

Bet we have working electric charging stations, rural broadband, and microchips, though. (That we already paid for, but don't have)

Get bent.

What's really sad about that poll is that Trump is under 50% with the two older age groups. Especially 65+. Maybe the old saying that you get more conservative/wise with age isn't really true?
Cold war programming. I catch myself buying into it all the time. It's hard to break. Plus, if you only listen to a couple news sources and they hit a subject hard they still tend to believe they can't all be lying but....

Trump has spelled it out for us, he stated times would be tough at first. He's also mentioned Gold in various forms, from a "new golden age", to auditing Fort Knox, to the time between 1880 to the 1920's.

Creating wealth from speculation is probably going to take a back seat to creating wealth from a tangible product.

True. I recommend the bitcoin standard, book by safidean ammous.

Really well written about monetary history and more. Doesn't even talk bitcoin until 200 pages in or so.

Coming off the gold standard and letting central banks run everything oretty much ruined the entire world's economies.

I know china is supposedly struggling but I don't believe it. We get zero news from there except what they want us to hear. Plus their footprint around the world just increases. So i just don't buy their struggles.

Also good luck wanting more money there as a worker. The ccp says you will accept whatever they say.
Their people have been investing in real estate. Look on YouTube about China's Ghost Cities. They built cities that nobody lives in, no businesses running and nobody visits. People thought their money was gaining value but now the bottom is falling out... add in all the companies fleeing China for other Asian countries and they just can't keep growing fast enough to pay for all the government stuff.

I'd be OK with this one if I get to jiggle them.

It is a tragic irony that European "leaders" were finally stirred into action not by Vladimir Putin invading Ukraine (remember: Germany started out by sending a few thousand helmets) but by having the American protection umbrella under which we've all been living so comfortably taken away. It's time for us to understand that we must abandon net zero lunacy, grow our economies, encourage business and innovation, re-industrialise our countries, end mass immigration which undermines our sense of unity and common purpose, invest in our armed services (not by making more obsolete tanks and recruiting infantry but by actually anticipating the way wars will be fought in the future) and end our obsession with luxury beliefs.Europe and Europeans need to wake up, grow up and man up.

Konstatin is a HUGE Ukraine supporter as his family immigrated to england from Urkaine. Even he is seeing it for what it is.

I hope you will read this slowly:

Our economy has been propped up (for years) by unsustainable deficit spending and dirt cheap interest. Trump is altering that. The natural reaction will be lower GDP at first.

There is no way that anybody with functioning synapses cannot grasp this. Our “real” economy has been weak for years. Trump is pulling back the curtain.

What you do with this information is up to you, but please don’t act like Trump created this. Only a moron believes that.
Who is gutting our government? Who is at war with everyone in the world except Russia?? Who is raising tariffs like a total dipshit?
I personally know multiple people who are already being impacted by his stupid F'ing economic and social implosion.
Some state workers I know are already being told there will probably be cuts to salary and positions. Some of my buddies in the business world are already seeing slowdowns and will be impacted by tariffs.
He is an epic disaster of a president.....WORSE than I even imagined honestly.
I was actually hoping it would not be nearly as bad as it is.

Thanks MAGAts!!!! Enjoy your retirement with NO Social Security and a dying 401K.

This is 100% a major factor for that demographic. It's also why their masters are so desperate to control social media.

Wow, a 100% of all school shooters were on some type of anti-depressant. 100%.

Don't post this on a thread outside this one. I had a couple people jump down my throat for stating this.

The fact we don't have a good study on it shows how it's probably true. How hard would it be to look at school shootings and see what they were on???? Yet we don't do that. some states count any shooting on school property as a "school shooting" and others even count any shooting within a mile of campus as a "school shooting". The fact we can't even get politicians to admit Columbine, Sandyhook, Uvalde and Va Tech are different scenarios than 2 gang bangers selling weed in another gangs territory and having a drive by.... It's telling.

Knew you might enjoy it, Sam.
Not enjoying watching my 401k evaporate like a lot of other Americans.
Not enjoying watching the entire world (aside from a dictator in Russia) begin to see us as an enemy instead of an ally.
Not enjoying watching our elected and non elected leaders destroy the foundations of our democracy.
Not enjoying watching grown men make fun of a besieged Ukrainian and the clothes he wears.
MAGAts suck.

Does anyone ask dumbass Musk why he wears a tshirt and sunglasses in the oval office??? Aholes.

I know im unusual cynical but I just don't believe anything coming out of china. We have zero sources there and rely solely on the ccp who cant be believed.

If they were really struggling so much, they wouldn't financially and politically be kicking our a$$ so hard in every move. They own everything, everywhere.

Now there is even less hope we will catch up. Xi will be in power another decade at least. Usaid was the only way to combat our 4 year turnover but they got so corrupt they had to go.

So if china is struggling, it sure doesn't look like it based on their share of world power they keep gobbling up.

They let the guy retire. Instead of arresting him. Last I heard, lying to the FBI carried a prison sentence.

That's one of those weird rule changes depending on if you are civilian or fed. If you are civilian and lie to an FBI agent you committed perjury and go to jail. If you are an FBi agent and lie to civilian there absolutely zero penalty and.... if you are and FBI agent and lie to the FBi you are just having a "lack of candor".... So not a crime.

1. Try to pay attention and learn how stocks work.
2. That isn't happening.
3. That isn't happening, and besides, we aren't a democracy.
4. That is rather amusing.

There was an interesting article in the NYT today about the role of drones in the war. It was crazy. Something like 60% of all soldiers killed were a result of drones.
Yea. I watched a guy talking about anti drone tech we are working on. He said drones may be one of those things that become obsolete immediately after their full use showed how devastating they can be. We've apparently got Microwave and Laser based systems already.

The status quo over the last 25 years is to outsource everything to China, Mexico and India and then borrow from China, Japan and Saudi to lessen the impact of doing that to our society (e.g., drop $2T of deficit cash on the population).

Trump realizes this is not sustainable. We have to reset the economy. There will be short term pain similar to what Reagan had to do in the 80’s.

What’s your answer, btw? Keep sending all our jobs to China and spending $T of borrowed money?
